For a longtime friend of 10@10, sez Dave.

For Sharon and her "Super-S" pals.

I thought I was a longtime friend of 10@10 but it didn't get me my request last year...

I feel ya, bro. I haven't been favored with a birthday request either, and it's not from lack of asking.

I think this is a first, no?  A Top Ten specific VT?

Sammy Johns!

no, not a first -- he's been down this road before. And in a better vehicle than a Chevy Van.

Sorry, the crankypants are especially tight this morning. She not only gets a VT request but gets to pick the first song? And she picks this piece of cheeze? Sheesh.

It's Log, it's Lo-og.
It's heavy, it's round, it's wood.
It's Lo-og, it's Lo-og.
It's better than bad...
It's Good!

I'm cranky too cause Sir Duke is playing and the stream keeps cutting out.  Has anybody else had trouble with it, or is it just me?

More Cheeze from Sir Paul. Not his finest hour.

I totally agree -- however IMHO lesser Paul is still very listenable, and is better than the best of most other singer/songwriters/etc....

And it appears to be the l-o-o-o-o-n-g version, too--with extended synth wanking.

Ah, remember the early days of the polyphonic synth? You could actually play chords!!

And the cheeze continues--Rod's Da Ya Think I'm Cheezy?

But remember who this VT is for....   A 15 year old girl probably *loved* this song back then...

With the exception of Stevie and maybe the Blondie tune, you could make a case for this being a Vertical Cheeze tasting.

See, at least to me, "Your Kiss Is On My List" is the cheese champion for this set so far.

Really?  Cheezier than Chevy Van or Rod the Bod? This is my BOS, a great pop single, from a year that needed great pop to take away the pain.

And speaking of great cheeze-pop -- one of Huey's finest hours.

I think Yessongs hit on the essence of this set's appeal: none of us were teenage girls. Where's Alicat? We need a girl's perspective.

No time to post much but a stellar sounding set.

I have to share this (very fond) memory of a juke box at some bar years ago which had both "Beat It" and Weird Al's "Eat It" -- and I *really* enjoyed playing both songs....  (simple pleasures)     8)
