BOS King Crimson, "Heartbeat". If it must be prog, let it be Crimson.

I'm with ya--although this is pretty catchy prog.

The early-80s incarnation of Crimso was just an amazing band.

Anyone spotted the vinyl yet?

This must be getting into today's set on the chart action rule--I fully associate this song with the summer of 81, not even close to 82. But whatever--we've fought that battle before.

My thought exactly.

Except I just IM'd Dave and he's quite pleased to have tricked us. He says the Crimso was the vinyl tune today.

ETA: and with this post I cease to be a kiloposter and am now....Heavy Duty.

You were always Heavy Duty in our book, bub. Y'know... I almost guessed Crimson, 'cause I don't recall it being reissued on CD... but I was waiting for something more obscure.  It was certainly far-and-away the highlight of this run-of-the-mill set.

Ah, see I have Beat on CD, so that threw me off. And I think Heartbeat is on one or two Crimso comps that are on CD too.

But Dave dubbing a CD from the vinyl record and using that as a technicality is totally lame. We wuz duped by digitized surface noise.
