Expecting ho-hum; the '80s not being Bob's strong point. Surprise me!

Well, a live Seger version of "Old Time R'n'R" is a surprise, but not a necessarily a good one.
-
VHM Styx, "Too Much Time on My Hands" -- a possible BOS depending on what else Bob has up his sleeve.
-
Eeek -- JS, "Find Your Way Back"... there's cheeze and then there's cheeze.

Your standard rock-radio set. I won't be surprised if we get one softie (Franke & the Knockouts, Benny Mardones, or somesuch) along with more arena rock (Foreigner seems a safe bet).

Psychic Gazoo! And it's "Juke Box Hero", one of their lesser-played hits. VHM2.

BOS Rod the Bod, "Young Turks", one of his perfect-radio-fodder '80s singles.

I'll BOS it, as I have very fond memories of it and it's still fun, but really, this is five immense cheezers out of five tracks, a dangerous ratio.
"A 10-pound baby boy-oy-oy!!!"

Agreed, and yet of the 5 only one (The Rod) even approaches being a Morey regular. (OK here's another: "Start Me Up").
-
OK, I feel better now. BOS to "While You See a Chance," empowerment encapsulated.
-
"When you see a Katrina, play it."
-
back to the cheeze buffet with 38 Special's "Fantasy Girl" -- but again, one we don't hear often (it may even be an across-the-board breakout, iirc).
Kudos to Bob for knowing his target (Midwestern) audience all too well.

One thing that makes "Stop Draggin' My Heart Around" so special is that it doesn't sound all that much like "a Stevie Nicks song" or "a Tom Petty song." Probably more of the latter, but the whole's far more than the sum of its parts.
