Last chance for us to hear Ides of March on the Ides of March. Somehow I don't think it's gonna happen.

i sure hope so! it's my tradition to begin the day with "vehicle." and it will inspire me to go shopping for my wedding dress (http://bridesofmarch.org/).
i've been looking for john gary's version of "how are things in gloccamora" for awhile. i always played that one on st. patrick's morning...
-
I've said it before and I'll say it again: without Ms. Bozzio, Gwen Stefani would've had to copy someone else.
-
AAAAAACK! "who Katrin be now?"

Most Australian of Set: Men At Work
I'm trying to be Happy Sunshine Silver-Lining Beej today...

Well then the name of this next band is appropriate: Simple Minds.

I can't help it- I've always like "Hold Me". HM from me.
-
Christine McVie is going to have to change her name ot Katrina McVie any day now.
ETA: I, like Beej, still enjoy the song, just that now I like it better when I hear it outside 10@10.

And he sounds like Mr Burns -- one more reason a lot of Simpsons purists HATE FG.
-
bos: obviously - there's that sexy voice again!
hm to fmac.

Ditto, but I'd Do Anything to Hear a Non-Katrina.

You're talking about Bryan, right? BOS for me too. Always a favorite.

mos def. hell, if we have to have a set of katrinas....

Eh. I guess he does a little bit.
Quite frankly the whole Simpsons/FG "feud" is stupid. I mean- it's funny when the shows pick on each other as they are wont to do from time to time. But to take it seriously is silly.
Not that I'm saying you are taking it seriously, RGMike! But, I know some people who are all, like, agro about it.
-
"Flaming Katrina", but VHM nonetheless. If only Dave'd play Be-Bop Deluxe in the appropriate years.
Can Crock o'Seagulls be far behind?
-

Yeah, don't give us none of your Agro-Vision. We've HAD it with your desktop plan!
-
BOS Roxy Music, "To Turn You On", the best makeout track on the best makeout record of all time.
Of course if you aren't gettin' it on by this track then you probably never will, as it is the 8th of 10.
-

Dave should play their Budweiser commercial.

I'm not aggro, but I rarely watch FG because to me it's a cheap, occasionally amusing knockoff. Which makes American Dad a knockoff of a knockoff.
-
BOS2 Brooooce.
-
BOS Bruce, "Atlantic City"
-

what was that other computer-age mondegreen? "Let's go upstairs and read my PowerPoint"?
-
BOS Bruce, "Atlantic City"
Doing his best Bob Dylan.
See, all it takes is for Dave to pull out one nugget to redeem himself.

this hardly makes up for the set.
-
WOS Eagles, "7 Bitches, Yo"
-
Doing his best Bob Dylan.
If'n you want to hear Springsteen "doing Dylan"- one simply has to listen to Bruce's first album: "Greetings From Asbury Park". Lotsa good stuff on that.
-
another BOS to "Seven Bridges Road", which I saw them perform in Cincinnatti on that tour. It brought the house down in concert.
-
Going with a BOS tie between the Simple Minds and Springsteen tunes.
As for Seven Bridges Road, I'd give the Eagles props for going out recalling their roots (this was their final single before the mid-90s renaissance) except that it's been sweetened so much you could get diabetes.
-
WOS Eagles, "7 Bitches, Yo"
If this was the same exact vocal performance, but credited to, say, Pure Prairie League, would you honestly still hate it?
-
HM "Goodbye To You".

It's got fine harmonies, but (a) I've heard it a gazillion times and (b) the album as a whole shoulda been called Eagles Overdubbed rather than Eagles Live. It always seemed an odd choice for a single, to me.
But OMG! "Goodbye To You" -- BOS for novelty alone.

Thank you ! see my comments above.
oh FUCK! Jose is back.
-
(whew) Jose's back. I was getting a tad worried.

LOL!
JOSE JINX!
-
I do like the way Dave says "Fffflaming Desire".
