I'll chime in a BOS to da Stones for Gimme Shelter. If anyone debates their status as the Worlds Greatest Rock Band at the time this was recorded, I submit this song.

Very observant. Certainly not today. Probably not since some time in the 70s. When that was exactly is open to debate.

"Everybody's 'trinin' at me". This is one of my all-time fave songs, but there needs to be a moratorium on it for a while.  Sorry to wear the crankypants, but Dave falls back on way too many "old standbys" in his '68 & '69 sets.

Having said that, BOS2 Jr Walker. What a glorious single.

I'm serious!  There are two people singing the line, and one of him has just that same aching timbre.

Meantime, BOS3 to the lovely horns and vox of the Spiral Starecase.  Alas, t'was the horns that killed them; they couldn't find a brass section to tour, which killed their momentum.

Maybe he's got a new trend; he used "Because" in each of the last two sets, and "Barabajagal" bridged the 2nd & 3rd previous sets. However, "Someday We'll Be Together" has only appeared once in the last 4 sets.
