Please let it be 1972...
ETA: OK, I can live with 1970.
-
Carlos, wailing long before Michelle Branch was born.
-
BOS (and proxy for Gaz): Henry Gibson.
-
BOS2: Macca, "Every Night". I say this every time, but considering the trashing this LP got from many critics, it really holds up both artistically and as a time-capsule.

In fact, yes. That comment got me wondering just when Ms. Branch was hatched. Per AMG, 1983. So this song has 13 years on Ms. Branch.
Funny we get 1970 today. I was listening to an archived 70 set last night and really enjoying the breadth of music included (it's going to take me awhile to reconstruct exactly what comprised it though--working on little sleep this am.) But if there are any duplications, I'll holler.
ETA: Ooooh, just realized I'm zeroing in on 2200 posts--is that going to earn me any change in rank hereabouts? Somehow I think I got a few hundred posts to go before that happens.

Houston we have a "Vehicle" problem!
Hearing this just makes me long for "Lucretia MacEvil"...
-
yo' love is fadinfadinfadinfadinfaidin...
sounds like the loooooong version!
-
OK, this is one of my classic rock mental blocks: is this Rare Earth or the Grass Roots? I'm thinking the former, but I always get it wrong. Shall we have Beej prepare the tambourine of indecision?
OOOOooooo--the L-O-O-O-O-O-N-G version!!
-
BOS (delayed, cause I heard the song in my car and just logged in now) Big Yellow Taxi.
Joni Mitchell at her best... one of my all-time favorite songs... Choo My My My My...

Loooong JINX! (confirmed by Mr Pardo)
Wow, you really ARE working on not-enuf-sleep, bub!
ETA: and Gaz would probably shoot you for thinking the Guy from Rare Earth sounds like Rob Grill.

Ah, I checked AMG and see I finally got it right for once. Maybe not getting enough sleep is the key...
(Supergrass last night--went til about midnight and then went for a nightcap with some friends after. So that equals a kind of foggy Friday am.)

I've had that problem since this song was on the charts--don't know why but as I said, It's a mental block.
Nice segue from IKILY into The Seeker via the Kent State clips. Hope Mshray was tuned in somewhere.
And this would be #2200. Cause for celebration?
Nah.
