BOS candidate for #2, the Babys, Midnight Rendezvous from Head First.

More fun with double entendres.

blast from the past: Midnight Rendezvous" those guitars sound exactly like 1980 to me.  Not necessarily a great song (pretty lame lyrically), but a real signifier.

BOS to "Stomp!," even if the Brothers Johnson are a minimal presence on this overproduction.

It's not a happy sledgehammer.  It's a better-to-have-loved-and-lost sledgehammer.  Or a If-I-knew-then-what-I-know-now sledgehammer.

God, I was so clueless about women at that age.

in the snobby world of "I'm a bigger deadhead than thou," Alabama Getaway was almost the smash hit Touch of Grey was, and threatened to bring in many new fans, clueless to the band's history.  Indeed, later, when TOG was a hit, the new fans were dubbed "touch-heads."

Heh. Yeah- mebbe not one of The Boss's best- but it brings back fond memories of 1980 for me.

I'm pretty sure I could find a worse Springsteen song...

Oops, sorry. I know you've told us the story but I guess I was confusing it with some other tale.

I think we're all clueless about the opposite sex at some point in our lives. (Or even the same sex, in some cases.) It's how you get to be not-so-clueless.

No apologies needed.  But my two younger brothers were much more advanced/experienced than I was at the same age.  And later when I figured out a few things it all seemed so simple that in retrospect all I could ask myself was "My God!  How could you be so witless?"

The first one's easy--they all start with some slightly off-the-mark count-off.

Well, sounds like a missed a fairly average 1980 set; no big Morey breakouts today (well, it's Monday).

the trivia winner had such Bonus choices as Pete Townsend but chose "Mirror in the Bathroom"... "I haven't heard that one in a long time", she said. Guess she doesn't listen to 10@10 or KFOG itself very often
