BOS3 the 'oo, "Relay" One you don't hear often. This is that rare Monday set that isn't on autopilot. Kudos Mr Morey!
-
Yay Alice! BOS4 "Elected". Yankee Doodle Dandy in a gold Rolls-Royce!
-
Indeed, that could have been a bustout for all I can recall--BOS for me. And BOS2 for Elected while I'm at it.
Hey, did anyone happen to turn on KFOG yesterday afternoon around 1? Was Dave pulling a rare weekend shift? I thought I caught him backselling a set, but was he went to commercial and I was putting in a CD and didn't stay tuned in.
-
BOS - Fleetwood Mac, Bare Trees - just cause it brings back good High School memories for me...
-
Hooray for "Bare Trees". This was one of the "winter" songs KPIG had in their Xmas rotation. Always nice to hear.
-
OMG! Chi Coltrane! BOS5. Such a good thing ah found!
-
Damn, I've had to miss most of this set due to bureaucratic interference.
But, I'm liking what I'm hearing!

I'm about THIS close to a 10-way tie at this point--Chi Coltrane about seals the deal.
Yep--10-way tie. This Hollies song is fab.
-
yikes, I'm up to BOS6 -- Hollies, "Long Dark Road", which shoulda been a bigger hit. This has been a killer set.

Oops: I've got to change my BOS to Commander Cody, Hot Rod Lincoln!!!!!!!! (even better High School memories!!) ... I'm even emailing this into Dave at 10@10!!!!!
-
Unfair!!!! Hot Rod Lincoln should really have been the top of the hour cooker!!
-
OMG! Chi Coltrane! BOS5. Such a good thing ah found!
Chi Coltrane was the original size queen:
"I don't know how to handle it / It's more than I could bear / But I wouldn't try to run from it / It reaches everywhere!"
You'll never hear the song in quite the same way again.

LOL!
I felt that way about Toni Basil's "Mickey" after Christgau said it was about anal sex.
"Any way you wanna do it
I'll take it like a man..."
-
Bare Trees and Hot Rod Lincoln in the same set; Brilliant!

released Nov '71, but the single peaked on the charts (#4 in Billboard) in early '72.
-
"Hey Bub, let's make it a good one."
And indeed you did Dave.
The replay shall rule!
you can climb a mountain......
-
"Sunshine".... awwwwwww....

Sunshine muse have been played to death out here because it evokes really strong memories. Another Edwards song I like is Shanty.
-
A morning BOS and a replay BOS for the Rev.
Oh baby!

Al 'll make ya do right.... Al 'll make ya do wrong!
This is Set Of The Week, and I doubt Dave will top it (Fri presumably is Hits From Hell).

Who, Alice, FM, just wonderful.
Bare Trees is a fab Mac tune and I don't remember hearing it back then.

Danny is a forgotten artist who wrote some great rock tunes for FM, and two songs of such delicacy, "Dragonfly" and "Dust", that it's a shame he kinda slid into mental illness, etc. Curse of the original Mac I guess.
