Ick, indeed. Last week as a classic it was more or less permissable, but this is just wrong.

Schaumberg High School? Is that local, or we talking Illinois here?

I got the impression last week that they (whoever programs the computer) screwed up the order, since Friday night we got a rerun of the '69 set.  But this is unforgivably lame, HS reunion or not.

That said, I'll give a BOS to Simply Red. Mater/Pater/later.

OMG! "Rock Me Amadeus"!  VHM for novelty. But I'd rather hear "Rock Me Jerry Lewis".

Agreed, MAJOR lameness factor in this set. Particularly since Dave just confirmed that the high school is in fact in Schaumberg ILLINOIS. So there is a greater likelihood that graduates in this class were listening to the WDRV 10@10 two hours ago than they are this one.

when did Mickey D's discontinue the McD-L-T?

And why did Robert Palmer rhyme "can't eat" with "in deep" when "in heat" would've made more sense?

I feel your pain bro--he's never played one of mine either. I suspect the requestor of this set is one of Dave's pals from his youth.

Walk this Way remade is officially a Katrina.  Dave's got a good grasp of the obvious, rap-wise.

But, the requestor is planning a 20th year class reunion for 1986. Dave went to high school in '86?

BOS for Run DMC/Aerosmith. This definitely some slim pickins here- and I don't mean the cowboy actor....

Nope, Dave was the class of what '69? But he swings in a younger crowd.

sadly, it's the much-less-interesting remake of "Pretty in Pink".  This is it, that's the end of the joke...

I think the story is: their old label wouldn't give John Hughes the rights to use the original. Or else they decided there was more money to be made by doing it again.   On the same sndtk, Hughes wanted Nik Kershaw's "Wouldn't it Be Good?" but HIS label wanted an arm & a leg. So it was covered by Danny Hutton of 3DN making one of his myriad attempted comebacks.
