Oh well, get it out of the way early in the week.
Nice start with T. Heads, too.

I applaud your sense of individuality, but can't go there. Her voice just grates--always has. The goat is the most appropriate name one could give her tho.
But I'll toss an HM at Sammy & Eddie and the boys.
-
oh, dear - another zeitgeist: van hagar (http://www.rothnothagar.com)!!!! i know - i'm one of the few people who likes them.

I thought Manchaca was a male Chaka Khan impersonator...

Yeah, HM Sammy & those nice Van Halen boys

BOS Eddie & Ronnie! Still sounds fabulous to me.

"she wonders how many more hours her heart will be broken." that's what hit me with the goat today (i'm currently the lady d'heartbreakville).
your hm to van hagar is an acceptable trade. :)

that South Park ep really did ruin a lot of her stuff for me. I can't hear her voice without thinking of that.

And much-needed on a Moan-day. A better-than-average '86-er, I daresay. But thank gawd KPOO has The Judge on Mon afternoon. Bet he'll be playing lotsa Pryor clips, as did JJ on Sat nite.

Sorry to hear you're on the emotional skids. It will pass, but in the meantime it sucks. As they say, time heals all wounds (and wounds all heels). ;)

Thought someone might have mentioned that ZZ Top's "Stages" is as noxiously corporate and bland as anything Genesis was up to at this time. A part of music died when this became a Top 40 hit.

Y'know, I read POC's post above in which she mentions ZZ Top, and I stopped to ask myself, "Dave played ZZ Top? I totally missed it." Had to listen to the replay to realize that he indeed had. It completely slid past me, so inconsequential do I consider that song. Which I guess is another way of saying, yeah, I agree with you.
