Woo hoo, indeed! This is as good a start to a week as we've had in a long time. (June 13 to be specific, when we went to '73!)

And Backstreets in the #2 slot is a slamdunk as an early BOS pick.

ETA: I think that 30th anniversary Born to Run rerelease is going to be an early entry on my Christmas wish list. Hearing this just confirms it.

My-T-Fine.  And Chaka/Rufus was a great TOTHC as well. Given we'll only get 3 originals this week, Dave's probably tryin' a little harder.

On the other hand, I coulda done without the loooooong version of "Amie".

Carolina's feeling down today...'cause they lost to Chicago.

Hey it's a twin spin, & 'the long version' is actually referring to the extended intro to "Falling In and Out of Love" imho.

Yep, I can't fault Dave for tossing this one in now and then--I'd give it an HM rather than a BOS vote, but it's still nice to hear now and again.

Sorry Rod, no Chinese carryout for you--will you settle for some sea food?

Anyone know what that instrument is that's handling the bassline in Jive Talkin'? Some sort of keyboard, or a regular bass thru some sort of processor? Sounds cool anyway!

And now a BOS3 for Bad Sneakers, from my alltime fave Dan record.

My favorite album of theirs too...  I always liked Bad Sneakers, but does anyone know WHAT it's about??

Indeed, and it produced a nice illustration of the difference between a HFH, a guilty Pleasure (the BeeGees--not sure if I quite agree there but whatever) and Sweet, which I could see as a Turkey. But since we heard it today, the chances of hearing it again on Wednesday are almost zilch.

Annalisa's choices were all big hits ("Jackie Blue" was another), 10cc was the best of the lot.

I didn't get home from work in time to catch the replay.  Hoping someone might be able to record it on the weekend rerun ... especially for the Led Zep song (and it's not often you hear me say that!).
