Happy Birthday USA!
-
a TOTHC for Alicat: Frampton, "Something's Happening", one of the few tracks from that LP that isn't egregiously overplayed. VHM.
-
quite the AOR set so far: "Year of the Cat" into "Crazy on You".
-
Any set with "Silver, Blue & Gold" in it is a good set.
My rai-ai-ainbow is overdue.

Indeed, and BOS. One of my fave BadCo songs. Shoulda been a huge hit, dunno what happened there.
-
VHM Orleans, a song that was destined to be an ABC fall-season promo jingle.

I love the baritone guy on the backing vox.
-
Just another AOR emphasis track outta Boston.
-
Here's another AOR track from the Dan, but it still get's my BOS #2.
-
Pure Pop for AOR people! BOS2 4 Seasons, "Dec '63 (Oh What a Night)". Despite Gaz's protestations (I feel your pain, bub) this remains, for me, one of the 3 or 4 best pop singles of that year.
-
Hard to believe, now, that Stallone got TWO Oscar noms for Rocky (Actor and screenplay).
BOS3 Thin Lizzy "Jailbreak".
-
And fwiw, "Jailbreak" remains one of the great album tracks from this year. BOS #3!
-
Finally (I think this is song # 10, no?), BOS4 "Wasted Time".
-
Among the Worst Lines Ever:
"We've been together since way back when."
Since they were motherless children, I imagine.
-
Ever notice that Bob, Ginger, and Dave are all remarkably democratic when it comes to the Steely Dan catalogue? Nothing's overplayed, and all of their charting singles and significant album tracks get equal representation, with the possible exception of "Black Friday."
