Per the promo this evening. We've had 2 '80s, a '70s and a '90s so I'm gonna go out on a limb and say it's our first 2006 set.
EWF remembers September -- RIP Maurice.
So it's either '78 or '79, as this one straddles both years. Bow-day-OW!
LRB reminisce -- yeah, '78 it is.

BOS Blondie, "Sunday Girl"
-
Hoping that we get a little punk/new wave represented here. LRB gives us a dose of late 70s cheeze.
And here it is: Blondie, Sunday Girl.
-
Seger's still the same.
-
Death death and more death: Moscone/Milk --> EC searching for light in the darkness of insanity.
-
BOS2 H&O "It's a Laugh", an always-welcome AL fave.
-

A couple of VHMs so far (EWF, Blondie) but this gets my BOS out of what we've heard up to now.
-
Cheryl Lynn gots to be fo' realz.

And hard on its heels comes BOS2: It's a Laugh. One of H&O's better and lesser played tunes.

Did Maurice White play any part in this (composer? producer?)? This has his sound all over it.
ETA: Per Wikipedia, he and EWF aren't mentioned, but I stand by my statement that the EWF sound was the blueprint for this one.
-
Casey Kasem intro --> HeatWave "Always and 4Ever"
ETA: the looooong version!
3 black artists in one set -- when did that last happen?
-
SNL Lisa Loopner saves herself for Marvin Hamlisch/"making a baby is like egg salad" --> Ramones "Needles & Pinza" BOS3.
-
Judge lets Keef off easy --> "When the Whip Comes Down". Heh. BOS4.
