Title: 17 Dec 2015: it's... 2002 and "Attack of the Clones"

So, AL's looking for songs from '02 with special emphasis on cover versions (because "clones" -- get it?? Oy.)

an underwhelming request thread so far -- including one guy who requested 3 songs from 1992 or thereabouts. Ooops.

Just read thru it and was amazed at the number of people who missed one or more parts of the concept.

After my requests, I realized they were supposed to be covers (or at least 'heavily influenced'). I could've reposted, but opted against it (actually "She Wants Me" very possibly could've passed for Nirvana in their prime, so that's something).

I'd like to request the year that THX 1138 came out.  Beats the hell out of sending in the 2002 clones.

I think I'll pass today.

Ditto. I'm in KCSM Land this morning. They just played "Rhapsody in Blue".

This cover of "Tired of Waiting for You" really is a clone. It's pretty much the same version, slightly muddier.

I'll give a BOS for Ben Folds' "Tiny Dancer". New on me.

Dixie Chicks' "Landslide" was nice.

saw the complete list on FB and it was all covers and I must say it was not bad at all. Certainly better than 10 KFOG playlist mainstays from '02.
