Quite a week for dead guys on 10@10. FWIW, AL is taking requests on FB. Not that I'm expecting any surprises. Should be pleasant but not earth-shattering.
-
I'll be listening but not posting, unless she plays something truly surprising, which seems unlikely.
-
Didn't get a chance to request it (or read any of the other requests for that matter) but I'd love to hear Gimme Some Truth.
Dec 8 1980 was not my best day. Lennon murdered, and I awoke the next morning to a phone call that my grandfather had passed the previous evening as well.

1. Instant Karma
2. Revolution (White Album version)
-
I will say that the between-song clips are pretty great. Power to the People indeed.
-
3. Give Peace a Chance
4. Power to the People

Not so fond of #5, Crippled Inside.
ETA: Funny, I was thinking the Rolling Stones would probably appreciate Crippled Inside because of it's American honky tonk style, and then "Whatever Gets You Through the Night" came on featuring Bobby Keys. TANC.
-
Really enjoy all of his rockin' songs... Whatever gets you through the night is definitely one of them.
-
5. Crippled Inside
6. Whatever Gets You Through The Night
I don't have a problem with Crippled Inside, but WGYTTN is as close to an LN as we've heard so far.
Expecting that #10 will be Happy Xmas, so we have three more wild cards. Let's hope for all aces.

Imagine is the most prominent Lennon standard, so I imagine we'll hear that.
-
I like "Number 9 Dream", but why isn't it number 9? ;)
ETA: Hoping she doesn't choose "Revolution #9" for that slot.

7. Mind Games
8. No. 9 Dream

Ah, true. That's probably a more likely candidate for the finale. Good call.
-
Nice intro to "Starting Over" from Yoko. Poignant.

Or maybe not. Good on AL for steering around the most obvious song. Not a rarity by any stretch, but always good to hear.
10. Starting Over
