Hey, Icicle Works!  If I had gotten thru on Request-O-Rama this morning I might have asked Dave for this.

VHM Brooce, "Pank Cadillac" (we'll that's how he pronounces it), which Rob played on the Peak's '84 set Monday.   If I had to pick a repeat from Dave's set yesterday, my money'd be on Style Council.

Strong set so far, early BOS candidates for the first three songs, esp., for me at least, Rickie Lee "It Must Be Love", a song which I always interpreted too have an ironic bent (i.e. I keep telling myself it must be, but maybe I'm deluding myself).

Ginger is 4 fer 4 now!  "Seven Chinese Brothers", among the most obscurist/unintelligible R.E.M. lyrics ever. but still a great song.

I was struck by how much she sounds like Shawn Colvin on that one.

another BOS candidate: REM, "7 Chinese Brothers"

Now Split Enz, "Message To My Girl".  Sounding really tasty to me in this mix for some reason.

I can't recall anybody giving us this good of a 5 song run in an '84 set, can you?

Make that 6 songs in a row!  Los Lobos "Don't Worry Baby" rockin' the house.

This mellow sweet short haired boy woman offers pull up a seat
Take in one symphony now we've just begun to battle
Wrap your heel in bones of steel turn the leg a twist of color
Autumn waited hold it to you in the colored come another

Seven chinese brothers swallowing the ocean
Seven thousand years to sleep away the pain
She will return she will return

This mellow sweet short haired boy woman offers pull up a seat
Take in one symphony now, we've just begun to battle
Wrap your heel in bones of steel, turn the leg, a twist of color
Autumn waded seven seas swimming colored come another

Seven chinese brothers swallowing the ocean
Seven thousand years to sleep away the pain
She will return, she will return

This mellow, sweet, short-haired boy, woman offers pull up a chair
Take in one symphony now, I guess we lost that battle
Wrap your heel in bones of steel, turn the leg, a twist of color
Autumn waded seven seas swimming colored come another

Seven chinese brothers swallowing the ocean
Seven thousand years the Communi did reign
She will return, she will return

Well...the Pretenders "Show Me" didn't really do it for me.

Stevie Ray was nice, but what really gets me going again is "The Ghost In You".  Just one of the most evocative songs of all time for me.

Wrapping up with the original Ahnold "Ah'll be bahck" clip & some deep track Lou Reed, "New Sensations".

My friend had this album, but I only ever heard "My Red Joysitck" & "I Love You, Suzanne" off of it, and based on the former I thought there wasn't anything worth listening to except the latter.  But here's the title track & it's sounds great.
