Title: 20 Oct 2015: an "encore" from... 1981
Post by: RGMike on October 20, 2015, 08:25:41 AM
after '95 yesterday, safe to say it's either '80s or '70s.

Belushi was still on SNL in '81?  uber-LN "Winning" starts us off.

March 25th 2014:

1. Winning - Santana
2. I'm Shakin' - The Blasters
(News: Chuck and Di tie the knot)
3. Sweetheart - Frankie and the Knockouts
(Movie, part 1: Stripes)
4. Love Action - Human League
5. Message Of Love - The Pretenders
(Movie, part 2: Stripes)
6. Burn Rubber On Me - The Gap Band
7. Woman in Love - Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers
(ABC News Brief)
8. Ant Music - Adam & The Ants
9. I've Done Everything For You - Rick Springfield
(TV: Tom Snyder interviews the Clash)
10. This is Radio Clash - The Clash

OK, the double audio is killing me, I'm bailing

ETA: they fixed it

Is it going out this way over the air, or just on the stream?

Good way to get listeners to tune out anyway...

OK, so they just faded out of the #1 version (the one that started first). Then they did the same on the one that is echoing, then faded back in on #2 once or twice, and now it seems we're getting to hear that one continuing. But at least we're not hearing the audio over itself with a two minute delay.

It's a strange error to be happening, since the entire show (when it's a replay) is a single audio file loaded into the automation. Weird.

I'm assuming you're talking about John. He wasn't a player that year, but did appear in a cold opening, I believe in an episode where Bill Murray hosted.

And speaking of both, brothers Jim B and Brian D-M would appear in the following seasons.

I must admit I got a chuckle out of hearing "I'm winning -- I'm shakin'" while in my car.

No doubt he did, but the bit AL played ("Little Chocolate Donuts") aired in '77, apparently. Oops.
