Title: Halloween in Colorado, KBCO style
Post by: mshray on October 31, 2005, 09:02:35 AM
Opened up with a Simspons clip...

Lisa:  Daddy, we did something very bad!
Homer:  Did you wreck the car?
Lisa: No.
Homer:  Did you raise the dead?
Lisa: Yes.
Homer:  But the car is okay?
Lisa:  Yes, but...
Homer:  Alright then.

and on into "Dead Man's Party".

Yay, Ginger!  Odd how the other 10@10s are so reluctant to do Theme Sets, other than 10 Songs by one Artist type things.

Be interesting to see how many repeats we get between Ginger & Dave.

BOS "Zombie Jamboree" in a reggae stylee! I heard this on KPIG yesterday; not sure whose version it is.

I know it may be blasphemous, but I neither like "Witchy Woman" very much, nor do I think it's really all that great of a Halloween song.

BOS Ghost Busters - "We're ready to believe you!"

Ahhh, now this is much better, "Ghost Town".  I'm a well-known sucker for trombone solos.

Specials, "Ghost Town"... interesting choice.  I'd've preferred "Ghostbusters" after the movie clip.

Not blasphemy at all -- I agree on both counts.  Well, I don't actively dislike the song, but it's not especially Halloweeny to me.

There's a band called Leftover Salmon?  Who knew?

Actually KFOG has played 'em occasionally. another jam-band, all of whom kinda blend together for me.

nice of Joan Osbourne not to switch the gender on "Spooky".  Of course, if you want a lesbian Halloween song, there's also Tegan & Sara "Walking With the Ghost".

ah, the inevitable Zevon.  I'm betting Dave serves up this one too.

And another, the clip from An American Werewolf in London, where Griffin Dunne's undead spirit comes back to tell David Naughton's character, "The last remaining werewolf must be killed."

and then into Zevon.  Just priceless.

Blair Witch Project clip into "Season of the Witch".  They're really doing their homework today.  Nice.
