Is AL back today? Not if she went to both Foo Fighters shows at Fenway. :)
ETA: AL's back and so are the '60s -- an appropriate year, this being the moon landing anniv.

This arrangement has a distinctly Partridge Family-esque vibe. Wonder if there was any cross-pollination between them?

Yeah, this has been worth waiting nearly 4 months for.
ETA: Btw, I learned yesterday that Brian Wilson is playing this Saturday at a tribal casino that's about half an hour from here. And I'm in Tahoe at a family reunion all weekend. Timing....

This and the Bubble Puppy tune are the closest we've had to FFs, and I think I can live with that. I predict a 10-way tie in the BOS voting.

utterly wonderful set -- hope it's a trend.

AL reports BOS 3-way tie: Santana, Beach Boys, Jr. Walker.

This was a pretty good set. While I'm glad to see a 60's set, especially after the funeral announcement, I would expect it to be a cliche-riddled affair. I don't think that was true here. I'm obligated to BOS Junior Walker, but the Beach Boys tune is sublime, and I love the Stones tune, which isn't usually the case with all the overplayed usual Stones suspects we hear. And the Byrds? Dessert topping treat!

Agreed. I half-expected "1969 For Dummies" which this was def not. Apparently the (late) '60s will be trotted out on rare occasions when the calendar dictates (as it did today with Carlos' B-day/Moon landing)
