No thread as of bedtime (9:30) but one hopes tomorrow is our '70s day.
Feh: not only is it 1990... we start with MC Hammer, an uber-LN
-
if only there'd been a thread, I'd've requested several far more interesting 1990 rap records...
-
oy: uber-LN Jane's A.
-
Keating 5 --> Chris Rea doing his best Mark Knopfler imitation. "Road to hell" indeed

Road to Yawnville.

the pickings are slim. Which makes this pseudo-Knopfler halfway pleasing. I guess we're on the road to hell

Well, I'm relieved. Had a 9am phone meeting that went way long, and another one with my boss that should be starting shortly. Can't say there's been anything played so far that I am sorry I missed.

At least we're enjoying the ride ;)

Trump's Taj Mahal --> "Never Enuf"

For sure. But this is a pretty rockin' tune. It's NTM and OK with me.
-
Twin Peaks --> "Twin Peaks theme", Julee Cruise.

Twin Peaks --> "Twin Peaks theme", Julee Cruise.
BOS for TP the show. That sure turned into appointment TV for a while.

Anyone remember the eating place called "American Chow" on Division (close to where Costco is) that had wood paneling? We used to eat there a lot when our shop was on 7th St. It was pretty surreal when they'd play the Twin Peaks theme music during lunch.
-
Log Lady, Cherry Pie --> "Ring of Fire"
-
HM for David Lynch being weird in his own show. "My socks are on fire!"
-
Log Lady, Cherry Pie --> "Ring of Fire"
for those of you keeping score in an alternate asynchronous spacetime, the snipes say this is Social Distortion. A band that I guess separates the hipsters from the get off my lawn crowd.

X did a version too, iirc, which is why I was holding off on the ID.

cursory check indicates the Concrete Blonde and the Morrissey were bustouts.

how random, but yes, I remember it. They had good burgers. It had some parking out front, a little triangular lot that fit maybe 6 cars. White building with blue trim. I recall reading about it in either the SF Weakly or The Bay Guardian soon after I had moved to SF. My GF and I decided to try it, and we drove up Divisadero but didn't find the place. Oops, I had misread the address. It was on on DIVISION, not Divisadero. :)

I think you just came up with a question for the next Mind the Gap!
