Thread is up early.

Holy crap -- two '70s sets in the same week!!
-
OY: "Joy to the World" and "Maggie May" have made appearances.
ETA: OMFG a woman whose initials are JBB is the new queen of obviousness.
OTOH, we're clearly going to hear something by Yes.
-
Expect to hear something by Yes. Yours is No Disgrace or Starship Trooper would be my preferences.

If the UK release dates are used, we could have a great bust-out with either Heart of the Sunrise or
South Side of the Sky.

It appears she is going by the UK release, as she mentioned that they released two albums in our given year. (Full details: The Yes Album came out in the early part of 71 (March?), and Fragile was released in the UK in November but didn't come out in the US until January 4 of 72.)
I'd be totally fine hearing any of the songs we've mentioned (or even Long Distance Runaround/The Fish, for obvious reasons). I just really don't need to hear Roundabout for the umpteenth time.

T.Rex has "Hot Love" for a TOTHK
-
Coke commercial --> we heard this last time, no? (as it was just a week after the Mad Men finale)
Jonathan Edwards lays around da shanty, mama.

A timely selection, locally speaking, as marijuana just became legal to possess and smoke here in Oregon as of today. There's no place to buy it legally yet (unless you have a medical card), but one thing at a time.
-
still gettin a good buzz on : Brewer & Shipley
ETA: i see by urth;s post that this is an Oregon reference. Heh.
-
BOS1 Brewer and Shipley "One Toke Over The Line."
not Garcia on pedal steel
-

One of my requests! Woot! (Guess that means Yours Is No Disgrace is probably off the table though.)
-
Nixon's price/wage freeze --> Rod's feeling up Mary on the ferry. Well, we avoided "Maggie May" at least.
-
Henry Fonda for GAF Viewmaster --> "Dead Flowers" Always a personal fave. BOS3

Just a good ole country band from England.

A pal of mine used to do a dead-on imitation of Fonda in that ad: "We've got Viewmaster from JEE-AY-EFF..." Guess you hadda be there.
-
Suzy Homemaker's new colors --> Shuggie O's orig "Strawberry Letter". BOS4
-
I just really don't need to hear Roundabout for the umpteenth time.
Oopsies. Not surprising. Today's kids pretty much only know this one song by Yes.
"models come out of the sky"
-
Suzy Homemaker's new colors --> Shuggie O's orig "Strawberry Letter". BOS4
Song #9 started at about 10:35 (on the stream anyway) so we have time for a 10-minute bustout if she wants to do it. Here's hoping.
My BOS picks are Jonathan Edwards, Macca, the Stones (yes, really), and Shuggie...so far.

Mountains are coming out of the sky and they stand there. And stand there. And stand there.

Just noticed... Dave played this about a dozen times -- always for 1974! Annalisa has
spun it just once before (also in 1971). Wiki says it was released in 1971, not 1974.

I have fond memories of my Viewmaster. These kids with their Oculus Rift, they think
they're so "innovative"... ha!

I was disappointed that she didn't play The Brothers Johnson version, since we recently lost Louis Johnson, but then I realized that would've been a different year. I know it's not the original, but I like it better due to the bass line.

per AL: "Roundabout" wins BOS in a landslide. Sher also posted "Yours is no Disgrace" on FB.
