JF has requested anything from Elton John.

JF has requested anything from Elton John.

Assuming chart action counts, that could encompass anything from either Madman Across the Water (released in late 71 but was well represented on the charts after the first of the year) or Honky Chateau, which was a legit '72 release.  Lots of LN potential there, but I'd love to hear either Holiday Inn from the former, or I Think I'm Going to Kill Myself (admittedly not a bustout) off the latter.

Yesterday was Todd's birthday so I'm gonna predict we hear "I Saw The Light" as one of our consultant-approved obvious oldies (tho' "Couldn't I Just Tell You" would be a swell rarity).  Assuming we'll hear some Dead too.

Oh and someone who "loves mah '70s" actually requested "Go All the Way." Mah mo oy vey.

ABB "Blue Sky" is a nice TOTHK. Not rare but always  welcome.

One of the most 'perfect' recordings I must say!

I think this may have come out in AL 1.0, but no less amazing and perfect of a power pop tune.

ETA: Or maybe not. Not turning up anything more than a bonus track appearance about 9 years ago.

BOS2: Big Star, Feel.  More power pop amazingness. Raspberries right now would send me into diabetic shock.

Mighty 'Berries -- thank you for playing "I Wanna Be With You" instead of "Go All the Way". Fabulous. BOS3.

Amazing! Just as good as the Capn's request for Runnin' Blue. Another BOS for me as well.

I might have preferred Runnin' Blue, but that's splitting hairs.

Still Bill, "Lean on Me"
Talk about a song that has transcended generations.  Our band plays this song, and it doesn't matter whether it's the Alzheimer crowd at Laguna Honda, or a church congregation, or teenage high school students of any ethnicity, they all know and sing along.

Hitting the top 40 with a vengeance in the second half of the set. Still, can't argue with those first 6 tunes (absent the CCR misstep).

Scoop Nisker and KSAN news was all over this story before the election, when nobody else seemed to be talking about it.

Perhaps the best play on LN ever. But yeah.

AL appears to have spaced it. Not on her FB page at all.
