Well, AL was at Bottle Rock all day so I'm not expecting a thread tonite. But tomorrow is the anniversary of the day in 2009 that she took over 10@10. (And Wednesday is her birthday)

ETA: thread posted 'round midnite.  the year of the first Jurassic Park etc.

Made my usual requests for this year -- Tina Turner, Meat Loaf, and Robin S (AL liked that last one -- could it be our token "HAAAAY!" bustout?).

Fave post of the day -- the guy who requested "Twiggy Twiggy" (heard in last week's 1995 encore), 4 Non Blondes and Radiohead. Just turn on KFOG and wait 10 minutes for those last 2, dude.

"Don't Ask Don't Tell" --> Breeders (heh) "Divine Hammer".  Beats "Cannonball", certainly.

Wow, it's been years since I've heard any song by them other than "Cannonball". I don't even know any other songs by them! So BOSFRA.

ETA: no, but a rarity. One previous appearance in 2011.  Our "HAAAAY!" moment of the day.

ETA: it's Frank Black. And it's another bustout.

So this set gets a passing grade despite the unnecessary 20-times-a-week KFOG "classics".  At least we avoided 4 Non-Talents.

Amazingly, the Counting Crows tune has made only ONE appearance in recorded history -- in a Dave Morey "Bay Area Music: the '90s" set in 2004 (!). I'm shocked, tho' I still call it LN because it shows up in regular KFOG rotay all the time.
