well, I know as soon as I turn off the computer, AL will post. I'm gonna predict an early '70s (or possibly even '60s) day tomorrow.
well, '74 is close enuf. Kiki Dee's got da music in her. And possibly a turkey baster. BOS1 for a fine TOTHK.
-
Guess AL had a busy evening... still no thread as of 8am.
-
woo hoo! BOS2 Joni, "Raised on Robbery"
-
Patty Hearst robs a bank --> "US Blues". Heh.
-
Nixon resigns --> "Nothin From Nothin". Billy's not stuffin'. What?
-
uber-BOS3 Chicago, "Mongonucleosis", a delightful rarity.

My internet took a crap in the middle of Useless Blues, but for once rebooting everything worked. So I made it back before the end of Billy P. Glad not to miss Mongonucleosis, one of the better Chicago instrumentals of this era. BOS!
-
"Jungle Boogie" continues the danceable portion of our set.
-
Kool et all -- Jungle Boogie is a fine tune, but if there's a '74 FF this is it. I blame Quentin Tarantino.
-
Take me down, Jimmeh! always a BOS 4 "Junior's Farm"

Agreed on the BOS-ness of this one. AL usually rises to the occasion when she composes a set without Foghead input. Certainly so today.
-
American Motors commercial --> "Back of a Car", Big Star. BOS5.
-
AL adds credence to my thesis from the last post:
Big Star, Back of a Car. Uber-uber BOS. Talk about your shoulda-been hits.
-
oh it's full of nasty habits when that bitch Elton gets back. One of my fave 45s of his. BOS6. Fabulous production.
-
and we close with Suzi Quatro!! BOS7 "Wild One". This set was a keeper.

Very "Sweet" sound.

Here's our bustout of the day: Suzi Quatro, The Wild One.
-
and we close with Suzi Quatro!! BOS7 "Wild One"
Very "Sweet" sound.
My thought as well.

indeed -- which is why she was so huge in the UK.
