I'll be shocked if it's not a '90s or '00s day.
and I was right... it's '98. I literally have no requests to make in that year.
-
Okay, I made my requests -- let's see if AL bites.

I'm gonna predict your "Ray of Light" suggestion is our "HAAAAY!" moment. And she's played that Mavericks tune once or twice (it was a request of mine originally) and it wouldn't surprise me if we get it again.
-
"it started with a whisper/and now he's in my keester" - that mondegreen never gets old.
-
Beasties as TOTHK: "Intergalactic" -- which makes me wish she'd play "Planet Rock" in an '82 set.
-
Chris Isaak, flyin' and cryin'.
-
Tori "Kate Bush Lite" Amos.
-
BOS Tori Amos. A bustout & I’ve requested it many times in the past (though not this time around.)
-
Tori "Kate Bush Lite" Amos.
Great minds--I was going to refer to her as "pseudo-Kate."
The song is "Spark", btw.
-
Everclear with a '98 LN. Not a s bad as "Santa Monica" but it's in KFOG rotay, so I really don't need to hear it on 10@10
-
Big Lebowski -- I fear "Just Dropped In" is in store.
-
RL Burnside -- another AL fave that's LN at this point.
-

These Lebowski clips are quickly becoming the "Sally" of 1998 sets.
-
The Big Lebowski into RL Burnside - "It’s Bad You Know,” to 98 what The Beautiful People - “If 60s Were 90s” is to 94.
At least she didn’t play the Kenny Rogers song from 1968, although there’s still half the set left so I hope I’m not jinxing myself.

2. Barenaked Ladies - It's All Been Done

3. Beck - Tropicalia
4. Sheryl Crow - My Favorite Mistake
(Movie: The Wedding Singer - Robbie (Adam Sandler) melts down at 1st wedding gig after getting dumped at the altar)
5. R.L. Burnside - It's Bad You Know
(Movie: Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas - Raoul Duke (Johnny Depp) is a respectable citizen - really!)
6. Wes Cunningham - So It Goes
7. Fastball - Out of My Head
(News: U.S. cruise missile attacks on a weapons plant in Sudan and bin Laden in Afghanistan)
8. Propellerheads w/ Shirley Bassey - History Repeating
9. Cherry Poppin' Daddies - Zoot Suit Riot
(Movie: There's Something About Mary - "Is that hair gel?")
10. The Offspring - Pretty Fly (For a White Guy)
and heeeere's the THIRD song from that set we've gotten today -- Sheryl 'ho.

I at least give her credit for a clever segue -- Clinton accepting blame for but exhorting congress to get beyond the Lewinski affair into My Favorite Mistake.
-
Heh, the Big Lewinsky.
BOS for Soul Coughing.
-
Soul Coughing -- a band I never "got" -- but this ("Circles") might be a bustout, or at least a rarity.
-
Garbage. The band, that is.
-
more Lebowski --> uber-uber-uber-FF Cake
-
Holy fuck -- a BufSpgfld sample. Just shoot me.
ETA -- from the He Got Game sndtk, methinks. -- a salute to the Warriors, I take it.
-

Never heard this before. Ditto the movie clip. Or was that part of the song?

Credited to Public Enemy and Stephen Stills, entitled He Got Game.

Quite possibly the biggest LN of all time followed by one of the biggest surprises. I kinda like her style. :O

It's become her thing -- That last one was really outta left field, even for AL. But the LNs were pretty egregious, for me.

Has PE ever appeared on 10@10 before? Certainly not more than a couple of times if they have at all.
ETA: A cursory search of this board tells me that in fact, they have not actually appeared before on 10@10. Lots of requests, and wish lists, but this according to what I can tell is their first appearance.
That's rather huge. BOS.

I suspect a lot of folks have requested "Fight the Power" from Do the Right Thing, which is probably better known, actually. (and also more political and a better record overall)
