Definitely; it was their biggest hit.
My after-the-fact BOS goes to the Turtles; "Elenore" was my most favoritest song for quite a long time in childhood. I blame them for the confusion that always results when I refer to something as "fab and gear, et cetera" or "my pride and joy, et cetera."
