*Very* early Bowie (or was he David Jones then?) "I Dig Everything" as TOTHK, Beatles' Rain in the no. 2 slot.

Hoping she figures a way to stretch this set, otherwise we're done by 10:30 again.

(Muhammad Ali and the Ali Shuffle)
3. Wilson Pickett - Land of 1000 Dances
4. Stones - Lady Jane
5. Monkees - (I'm Not Your) Steppin' Stone
6. Los Bravos - Black is Black

7. Paul Revere & the Raiders - Kicks
8. Bob Dylan - (Stuck Inside of Mobile With the ) Memphis Blues Again

Well, this may stretch things by a minute or two.

ETA: Not sure if this is sacrilegious but I can't hear this song without picturing the Dead doing this with Bob Weir over-emoting on the vocals. Seriously, this was one my fave Dead Dylan covers, along with Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues.

9. Buffalo Springfield - For What It's Worth
10. Beach Boys - Wouldn't It Be Nice?

As was pointed out over in GS (by a Snipe I would not have expected it from) other than the Bowie song this was a fairly predictable '66 excursion. Have to agree -- an enjoyable bunch of songs, but short on the rarities. I think Los Bravos gets my vote today.

Since I wasn't paying attention early, I tried finding it on youtube.  So now I'm listening to a compilation of early Bowie tunes (64 through 66). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Is9QfEKppsg

4. Stones - Lady Jane

Today's bust-out.  Most of the other tracks have appeared relatively few times
on 10@10, but then again, 1966 doesn't come up as often on the big wheel.

The Bowie tune *wasn't* a bustout? Wow, ya learn something every day.

Yeah, perfectly pleasant collection and if it comes up during the part of the marathon that I get to hear, then that'll be nice, but I'm not crying that I didn't hear it "live".

But BOS "Rain", one of the best B-sides ever.  I was hoping maybe the new PD would allow '60s sets to "go to eleven" again, esp after he let her do "Lucky 13" last week, but I guess not.

My guess is the only reason that set was permitted was it was the first set back after the long layoff combined with the Lucky 13 thing. Otherwise it would have been 10 songs like every other set in recent months.

I never heard the Dead cover Mobile/Memphis, but the first time I heard Phil sing JLTTB,
with appropriate lyric changes,  it was hilarious.

"I started out on LSD, but soon hit the harder stuff"

"I'm going back to San Francisco -- I do believe I've had enough"

etc.

In retrospect, it probably was Heineken.  If I'm mis-remembering, it's probably because of too much
of one or the other...   ;)
