Hoping it's another new one (tho' I heard the "generic" promo today). Tues will be a St Paddy's set, presumably.

Nice surprise for a Monday. And some good suggestions in that thread, along with some way-unnecessary FFs. And I loved the guy who requested the Black Keys (!). Unclear on the concept much?

an LN-ish start with "He-woes".

I'd love to hear some Joni Mitchell or George Clinton et. al., but I'm not holding my breath.

Hah! Guess "Got To Give it Up" was inevitable today.

Def. a timely choice. Take that Pharrell! In yo face, Robin!
VVHM to Leo Sayer for rarity alone.
-
Leo Sayer feels like dancing.
"He Hits mah haih" --> "Mystery Dance". VHM but we're in pretty familiar territory so far.
-
dear gawd: "Dancing Queen", one of the uber-LNs of all time.

Hewoes...haih....I detect a pattern here.

The Monday morning auto-pilot syndrome.

Love Boat --> "Dancing the Night Away".Finally something I haven't heard 10,000 times. uber-BOS the Motors

and the inevitable F.Mac selection. But at least it's not one of the hits. VHM "I Don't Wanna Know"

Here's my BOS pick.
-
Crapton, Marcy and Whinyface get to the core.
-
I'm gonna give a BOS for the Core, 'cause I like it. So there.
But who's Whinyface?

yet still BOS-ish!

But who's Whinyface?
Yvonne Elliman. POC gave her that nickname and it stuck.
-
Water rationing --> Bonnie Raitt "Runaway". VHM to her attempt at Ronstadt-ization.

She's played it once or twice, methinks. The Motors tune mighta been a bustout. The only rarities in an otherwise overly-familiar lot.
-

Turns out he was making a snarky comment -- the "what's playing" field on his digital radio constantly shows "Gotta Get Away". Heh. Sounds like he has 'snipe potential.

Me too!
I heard this in the car on Monday & only now saw Dave's comment. Say what you want about 'whinyface'; this is one the best rhythm riffs of Clapton's or anyone else's career.
