There have been worse '89 sets, and there have been better.
Dave was never particularly good at these.
But (paging Geoff) I saw School of Fish at the Grad at UCSB before anyone ever heard of them. This had once been the old BofA (and I'm sure Geoff still has the 'M'), so a perennial sledgehammer for me. Glad to see it got BoS the first time around.
Otherwise, I'm working from home & too lazy to get up and change the station.
ETA: I know see that it got BoS in a tie with Crowded House, the ultimate 'Meh' artist for me. Not worst...that would include people like Michael Bolton, but still.

I don't remember School of Fish, but I do still have the M
Remember, what you call the 'old BofA' is actually the new one. The real old one burnt down!

but it was rebuilt on the same spot, no?

Is the reason why we're getting classics because the music library still hasn't been entirely moved in yet (save for the twenty or so numbers that are on permanent rotation)? Just wondering.
ETA: it ain't over 'till it's over, indeed!

That could be it -- but she could do a late-'70s New Wave-centric set with just her vinyl collection from home.

I bet the office in in a shambles, and the archive, the library, probably even the CD players (let alone the turntables they might eventually want to use) are all offline and their first order of business was to get the digital versions of their playlist online right away. Plus a cart machine -- or whatever they use these days -- that can be used to do inserts. I guess the archived 10at10s are being "inserted" via a digital tape or a sond file. Or something. Who knows.
I had this set on in the background, wasn't paying any real attention past song two, and I'm not sorry. I blame EMF's Unbelievable -- a song which we used to ridicule back in the day.... "OOOooohhh!"

That was also an encore... this show originally aired on 23-Sep-09.

So I'm obviously hopelessly out of touch. They've moved the studio?

Yes, but only just. Moving day was Monday, iirc. KFOG was the first of the Cumulus stations to make the jump; KNBR and the rest are following over the next few weeks.
