Request thread up.

Heard the promo this morning -- "Jimmy Carter, Princess Leia, Elvis Costello... and Chia Pets were popular" Uh actually they were trademarked in '77 but didn't become popular until the '80s. Maybe she meant to say "pet rocks"?

we heard this same Love Boat ("Paco Martinez") clip last time, no?
But BOS2 Dr Buzzard, our token disco hit.
ETA: actually, "last time" was the 1977 set that snuck into the marathon after Xmas week. That's where iI heard that clip.

Last time I saw Paul Westerberg he covered this one.

even more Love Boat --> "Jungle Love" LN4, even if the segue was cute.

Mounds/Almond Joy ---> Linda Ronstadt "It's So Easy"
Oy, that picture alone makes me want to go to 1977.

Seems to be a 10@10 phenomenon - keep asking for a song, and it will eventually get played. And then again. And again until it achieves LN status. See "Cannonball" by the Breeders.
-
Per AL on FB, Sex Pistols got BOS.

Ughugh
The year started innocently enough, but then I had a series of awful experiences, a couple of
which rate among the worst of my life. I'm sure I'd feel differently about it if I had been sleeping
with the likes of Ms. Ronstadt.
Anyway, a blatant love theme today through the bulk of this set... a message there, or just
coincidence? Perhaps sometimes tea leaves are just tea leaves...
