Today's "classic" is starting late...
ETA: wow, really late start -- it's a set from AL's first tenure...
-
encore
Robert Johnson "Come on in my kitchen"
-
Hank Williams "Hey Good Lookin'"
-
The set is from 11/24/10 -- I'll post the setlist at the end of the set to avoid spoilers.
ETA: never mind -- dischead just posted it below.

As Renee signed off just after 10:00 she mentioned that there will be 10@10 encores played
throughout the day. Today's encore is started about 10:11; set list below.

11/24/10 - Wednesday! Traditional Thanksgiving (Musical) Meal!! Complete with all the fixings, respected elders and a kids' table, too! Happy Thanksgiving, Fogheads!!
1. Robert Johnson - Come On In My Kitchen (BOS-Tie!)
2. Hank Williams - Hey, Good Lookin' (BOS-Tie!)
3. Little Eva - Let's Turkey Trot
4. Trashmen - Surfin' Bird
5. Blues Brothers - Rubber Biscuit
6. Fats Waller - All That Meat and No Potatoes
7. James Brown - Mashed Potatoes
8. Ray Charles and James Taylor - Sweet Potato Pie (BOS-Tie!)
(Meanwhile at the kids' table...)
9. Adam Sandler - The Thanksgiving Song
10.The Kinks - Maximum Consumption
(Going for extras... "it's wafer thin")
11.The Sugarcubes - Eat The Menu
(Going for the true meaning with The Peanuts gang)
12.Isley Brothers - Harvest For The world
ETA: My BOS vote would go to the Kinks.
-
too bad there's not some way to hide spoilers!
-
some sort of structural similarity between Surfin' Bird and Rubber Biscuit.
-
Looks like AL edited out the Kinks and Sugacubes and went straight to the Isley closer.
-
Hmmm, sounds like they axed tunes 10 and 11 from the original set, so as to stay within the "ten songs" parameter.
That blows.
-
Wow the backsell edit sounds like my handiwork LOL

I agree, particularly because the Kinks song was cut. And that makes it a short set -- about 38 minutes.

Arlo Guthrie this noon.

Arlo Guthrie this noon.
I heard a more recent version yesterday on Sirius/XM. It was really quite good at the end.
