85, 95 and now 75 -- why the hell did we get '66 yesterday?
-
Tom Waits - Intro / Eggs and Sausage
(note: the Intro contains an obscenity)
Not only is this in line with the current whatever, but AL has shown a marked
tendency towards playing occasional Tom Waits selections.
85, 95 and now 75 -- why the hell did we get '66 yesterday?
Have they ever done four or five sets in one week all separated by ten years? It seems
like there's always one show that's offset, as if to say they weren't really doing that, while
simultaneously calling attention to the fact that they were kind of doing it.

sadly, I'll have to miss this one, I'm being pulled into a 3-hour meeting from 9 to noon. Why doesn't that happen when she's doing 2003?

Interesting -- The Peak played this in a '75 10@10 last week (Rob loves Geils) and I posted the original by Harvey Scales on FB as a result:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lVS2fQBKWBw
Wonder if AL saw my post on FB.

She certainly could have, although being a Bostonian music geek of a certain age I'm sure she has more than a passing familiarity with the Geils Band.

Indeed, and it's in fact the 2nd time this year she's played it (it was a bustout in April).
Today's lone bustout was the John lennon "Peggy Sue" cover -- can't recall the last time I heard that on the radio.

The Geritol ad overran the intro to WDYWFL and its acoustic guitar arpeggio, too. She doesn't usually do that -- wonder if someone else was running the board or something.

Per AL on FB, EWF got BOS.

RR's first week was that way: '68, '88, '78, and '98.
