early thread appearance, the clue being The Usual Suspects. Which is probably what we'll get musically, too.
-
TOTHK - Elastica "Connection"
-
Everclear "Santa Monica"
-
TLC "Waterfalls" - our HAAAAAAAY moment
-
Ok, I have to bail, so hopefully someone else can take notes!
-
Goo Goo Dolls, Name
Tick one in the LN column.

uber-LN, given it shows up in regular rotay. Oddly, it was a request from a snipe who also asked for Broooce's "Murder Inc" which would be most welcome
-
Pizzicato Five, Twiggy Twiggy.
Thank god for Soundhound, I'd never have known this one.
Wonder what the kvetching sounds like over in GS-land?
-
Better Than Ezra, Good
Always had a guilty-pleasure thing for this one, but it also registers on the LN scale.
-
Alanis Morissette, All I Really Want.
Points for not being one of her usual suspects.

Yep. Meanwhile, "Rosealia" awaits its 10@10 debut, along with "Desperately Wanting", "King Of New Orleans", "At The Stars", "One More Murder", "Extra Ordinary", etc.

Much better selection, the "sixth" single from that album. I put it in quotes because while it received a small amount of airplay, I don't think there was a release for it.
-
Jars of Clay, Flood
Haven't heard this in awhile, haven't missed it.

Here's a quote, one guess who:
What the fuckity fucking fuck is this fucking shit?
Overall, nothing in the thread to get too excited about.
-
POTUSA, Peaches
What I said about the Jars of Clay song? Same here.
If you eat a lot of peaches, you better stay close to the bathroom.

That's about what I expected, and who I expected it from.

Foo Fighters, Big Me
Man, I played the crap out of this record that summer. This one sounds kinda lightweight now.
-
AL: "Foo Fighters, Dave Grohl, and he can do no wrong."
Yeah, we know.

Things for which I have a very hard time reconciling:
The Foo Fighters have been around for 20 years.

Welcome to middle age.
Having trouble picking a single BOS to vote for with this set. Normally if I don't have a song I'm really enthusiastic about I'll vote for a rarity or one I haven't heard in a long time, but the songs that fall into that category today (TLC, Pizzicato 5, Alanis) I'm not that wild about.

Shoot, I almost requested this one, but went with the more common Ironic instead. This is the closest I've come to getting a request played since AL 1.0.

so, after '85 and '95... '75 would be a good bet for tomorrow, yes? It's more or less "due", last visit was late Sept. And '65, I suspect, is no longer an option -- last time we went beyond '67 was a 1966 set on April 7th (!)

Per AL on FB, Alanis got BOS.

Is that anything like Middle Earth?

I see no reason to think that. The years in both "tails" don't seem to get played with the
same frequency. Dave only visited 1965 five times, and two of those were vertical tastings.
AL matched that in 2009 alone.

And of course we're getting '66 Wednesday, so hooray. But my point was that we've visited '69, '68 and '67 multiple times since April -- 7 months is a long time between visits for a year AL featured fairly regularly in her first tenure, and I'm always suspicious of what PDs (and the consultants they listen to) are plotting in secret.
There was a time when Dave featured '65 and '66 regularly too; when I first started listening in the early '90s they came up monthly. It wasn't until the early '00s that they disappeared from "the big wheel" for a good long time, before finally returning.
In other words, I should learn to never say never, but we're always subject to the whims of whoever's in the corner office.

On a similar note, I had a hard time realizing that Linkin Park has been around for 15+ years.
