"Five O'Clock World", a perfect pop gem.
a-dah-lay-ee-hee!
-
BOS1 Stones, "Heart of Stone"
BOS2: Strangeloves, "I Want Candy" -- which reminds me, Little Steven's show this week was a salute to the 33rd anniversary of "Nuggets". Got to hear the Electric Prunes one more time, as well as one Dave neglected on Friday, "Psychotic Reaction". Freak-out indeed!
-
VHM Soupy Sales -- if only Bob would play "Do The Mouse"!
-
a Beatles (yay) twin-spin: "Help" and "Every Little Thing".
-
Who's this on "Every Little Thing She Does"? I've never heard it.

Ack! I knew it was a Beatles soundalike, but thought it was a knockoff instead of the real thing. Funny that I never heard it, not even on KFOG's Beatles A-Z ...

TANC Pt XVII - I was listening to my 1965 compilation this morning while driving the kids to school. We heard this & although we didn't hear them in the 15 minutes we had, both the Stones & Strangeloves are in there too.

I've probably mentioned this, but Hal Ketchum's country version of the song from '91 or thereabouts is very nice, from a CD worth seeking out -- produced by the guy who wrote 5O'CW, Allen Reynolds, who became a big-deal country producer in the '80s & '90s. Ketchum replaces "a-dah-lay-ee-hee" with "yodel-ay-ee-ee".
