Request thread is up.
ETA: AL likes my Jerry Reed "East Bound And Down" suggestion.
-
wow, we just did '77 3 weeks ago. Hope we get a couple o' bustouts; AL has been posting some of her old standbys in the thread. OTOH, if she really plays Jerry Reed I'll plotz.
-
she seems to like my T.Heads request too. And I'm guessing we'll get some Stevie Wonder since he's bringing his Songs in the Key show to Oaktown.
-
psychic request:
Joni Mitchell - Overture - Cotton Avenue

Three weeks ago the '77 set was pop-cheeze-heavy. Will she tilt in another direction (punk, perhaps)? Or will she go in a very LN-request fest? (Looking at some of the requests, sheesh...) ::)

Late start today.
-
TOTHK: F.Mac, "I Don't Wanna Know" -- BOS1 for not being one of the overplayed hits.
-
TOTHK Fleetwood Mac "I Don't Wanna Know"
-
TOTHK Fleetwood Mac "I Don't Wanna Know"
A fine start.
-
Madeline Kahn --> "Best of My Love" - VHM the Emotions.
-
High Anxiety ---> The Emotions "Best Of My Love"
-
more Madeline "You're wearing jeans? I bet they're tight!" --> "Jeans On". One of our cheeze platter selections today.
-
uber-LN1: Crapton, "Lay Down Sally"
-
More High Anxiety ---> David Dundas "Jeans On ---> Clapton "Lay Down Sally "
-
More High Anxiety ---> David Dundas "Jeans On"
That's LORD David Dundas, to you.

-
Jackson Browne, "You Love the Thunder" has always been kinda "meh" to me.
-
Oh God! --> "Even in the Quietest Moments". VHM for not being "Give a Little Bit", and another example of a "mellow" AOR hit that The Bone would probably never play.
-

Those Supertramp boys sure know how to use a clarinet.
"I'm not gas. I found that very insulting." Good movie.
-
more mellow: BOS2 Stephen Bishop, "On & On", a song I absolutely lurve.
-
Love Boat --> "Lovely day", Bill Withers. BOS3 even if its chart life was mostly in '78
-
VHM for EWF keeping the soul quotient well above average.
-
Annie Hall "la-di-da" (a Sally if ever there was) --> EWF "Sing a Song", hardly a rarity, and it's from '76. Sheesh.
-
more Annie Hall "I'm into garbage, it's my thing" --> "Rockaway Beach".
-
On these "Loan Me" commercials, it always sounds like they're saying "blow me"
-
Jackson Browne, "You Love the Thunder" has always been kinda "meh" to me.
and guess what, we heard this one in the last '77 set 3 weeks ago...
-
per AL: Ramones win BOS. Guess being the rocking-est song by far helped that one stand out.
