in fact, KFOG is going All-Paul all DAY Thursday, starting at 6am. I'm told AL will play the Beatles setlist from Candlestick '66 on 10@10.
Here it is (unless you want to be surprised):

I think Dave already did that, on the 40th Anniversary of the that show, Aug 29, 2006

If she had access, she should play the actual concert recorded on a cassette all those years ago... (But that's just me wishing.)

ah, I guess she's gonna play "In My Life" which wasn't actually played, just teased by John at the very end. Still, even with 12 it'll barely be 30 minutes.

Not much room for commentary on this set. I'll just say that I like to pronounce Beatles so that it rhymes with Seattle(s). Then again, I'm weird.

I suspect that even within the small community of this board, there are people who can out-weird
you. Not that I want to start that contest, mind you...

I'll concede. I'm not, like, Syd Barrett-weird.

So... basically this is an encore show.
I don't have a memory of Dave's show from 8 years ago, so it's not clear whether AL is rerunning it or if she's inserted her own between-song clips.

I don't think she's re-running it... my comment was largely tongue-in-cheek.

Weird is ok, even good. Dumb is not.

I just BOS'd Paperback Writer out of deference to tonight's occasion. All things equal, though, it would have been Nowhere Man, possibly tied with In My Life, if indeed it is played.

Wow... tough call. If I Needed Someone, Day Tripper, I Feel Fine, Paperback
Writer -- all of them produce numerous positive reactions or stimulate old pleasurable
memories. Since this set is the "old" Beatles -- pre-Sgt. Pepper's -- I'd pick I Feel Fine,
which for me exemplifies their early songs' enthusiasm for classic Rock 'n' Roll.

I do seem to remember that Dave also inserted the between-song comments made from the stage in his set 8 years ago, so it could be an actual rerun, but it would not be hard for them to reconstruct it from scratch, either. And there were a couple short clips of DM saying "yes..Beatles...YAY Beatles!" in today's backsell. I think I have an archived version of that set downstairs; I'll have to go see if I can find it & see if that may be part of his set on the day.

I'll go on record saying there is a 78-79% chance of a late '70's set tomorrow. Mork & Mindy clips. No request thread because of McCartney show.

I'll bet you're right on the money with that. Nanoo-nanoo!
ETA: or, we could get 1982 and she could play "Key Largo" for Lauren Bacall...
