Request thread is up.
-
I have no expectations to speak of.
-
Doing a 6-or-7-minute stopset of commercials at 9:54 (which seems to be the new PD's idea) strikes me as a stupid thing. But then I don't work for Cumulus.
TOTHK: DM, "Master & Servant".

TOTHK - Depeche Mode "Master And Servant"

Bowie, "BlueJean" -- LN1 from me.

newsclip montage --> Los Lobos "Don't Worry baby"

"Cruel Summer" is def in LN territory, methinks. And I requested them doing "Robert DeNiro's Waiting", so this is disappointing.

Yeah, I noticed yesterday that Renee signed off around 9:53, which struck me as pretty early for a shift that's supposed to run until 10. Might have been one song following, but still.

Bananarama "Cruel Summer"

They should have played RGMike's "Robert DeNiro's Waiting" request instead.
-
And AL does play a RGMike request: Culture Club "Miss Me Blind"

-
OMFG: my Culture Club request! BOS1 "Miss Me Blind". This may be a bustout.
-
Dynasty ---> Joe Jackson "Be My Number Two"

-
Dynasty --> JJ, "Be My BOS2."
-
OMFG: my Culture Club request! BOS1 "Miss Me Blind". This may be a bustout.
You now have no right to complain about anything for the rest of this set. :)

LN3 REM, "PP"

Now we just need her to play Peter Wolf (hey, he's from Boston, no?)
-
LN3 REM, "PP"
Works for me. REM when Stipe still mumbled. BOS.
-
R.E.M. "Pretty Persuasion"

News: personal computer wars --> LN4 Henley, getting all up in my "Grill".

I'd be down with that. (Was Lights Out released in '84 or '85?)
(ETA: Lights Out was indeed released in 84, so bring it on.)
-
Footloose ---> Berlin "Dancing In Berlin"

PC wars ---> Don Henley "Sunset Grill"
"Building The Perfect Beast" was the first album I ever bought. Don't ever get tired of it.
-
Footloose "there IS a time to dance" --> "Dancing in Berlin". BOS3 and another possible bustout. Certainly a rarity.
-
Footloose ---> Berlin "Dancing In Berlin"
Hey! A rap song! ;D
-
More Footloose ---> The Style Council "My Ever Changing Moods"

I love Style Council, tho' "Ever-Changing Moods" is hardly rare. The Berlin tune was our 2nd bustout of the day, tho', so i can't complain.
-
Not necessary perhaps, but still a winner: My Ever-Changing Moods, Style Council.
-
The Karate Kid to close.
-
wax on! wax off! Heh.
