they've been running a generic promo since Friday; no clue on FB, but I'll be up late since I have a vacay day tomo'w.
ah, '76 and an uber-TOTHLN, "You Sexy Thing"
-
BOS1 Stevie, "As".
-
LN2: ELO, "Living Thing"
-
VHM BadCo, "Silver Blue & Gold"
-
BOS2 Boz, "Jump Street"
-
BOS2 Boz, "Jump Street"
When I heard the opening notes, I thought, "Is this Long Tall Glasses?" the Leo Sayer song.
-
The Dan, "Kid Charlemagne".
-
The Dan, "Kid Charlemagne".
2 really solid musical cuts in a row
-
holee crap: SSJ&tAJs, "The Fever" -- uber uber BOS3.
-
BOS4 Stones, "Hand of Fate".
-

Coyote

-
BOS5 Joni, "Coyote", starin' a hole in his scrambled eggs.
-
We blew it in the right direction, young man!
-
BOS4 Stones, "Hand of Fate".
BOS. The lead guitar really sounds like Mick Taylor, but I guess it's Wayne Perkins channeling the then recent ex-Stone.
-
Ford campaigns ("we blew it in the right direction") --> Sweet, "Action". BOS6. For a Monday without a suggestion thread (which usually means an "autopilot" set) this was more than I expected.
-
BOS for Sweet. Haven't heard them in a while.
-
1. You Sexy Thing - Hot Chocolate
(Movie: Logan's Run)
2. As - Stevie Wonder
(Movie: Logan's Run)
3. Livin' Thing - ELO
4. Silver Blue and Gold - Bad Co.
(TV: SNL - Emily Litella "Nevermind")
5. Jump Street - Boz Scaggs
6. Kid Charlamange - Steely Dan
(News: Carter lusted in his heart)
7. The Fever - Southside Johnny and the Asbury Jukes
8. Hand of Fate - The Rolling Stones
(Commerical: "Look for the Union label...")
9. Coyote - Joni Mitchell
(News: Ford campaigns - "You blew it!")
10. Action - Sweet
-
Missed the first 6 songs, but on paper this looks like a corker. Started with a few we've heard a time or six, but got better and better as it progressed. Guessing Jump Street (and maybe the BadCo.) could be bustouts, but then again maybe not. Will check out the posted version as soon as it shows up.

Per AL on FB, Stevie Wonder got BOS today.

the BadCo has a couple of appearances (once in the Morey era and again from AL's first go-round. She's also played "Jump Street" exactly once before. So, a coupla serious rarities.

2. Stevie Wonder - As
Including today, As has appeared seven times on 10@10 -- and won BOS five times.
6. Steely Dan - Kid Charlamange
One of my favorite Steely Dan songs. There's a nice bass line in there, and I really enjoy the
toms on this piece. And the lyrics -- just outstanding!
"All those day-glo freaks who used to paint the face -- they've joined the human race...
some things will never change."
"Is there gas in the car?"
"Yes, there's gas in the car!"
9. Joni Mitchell - Coyote
It was great to hear this again, but there's lots of other excellent material from
this album (and 1977's Don Juan's Reckless Daughter) that could be busted out.
