BOS1 Queen's fab debut, "Keep Yourself Alive".

Emerging from my belladonic haze to give this one a BOS, along with The Real Me.
Excellent start, sez I.
-
Dick Clark on the Odd Couple --> ELO "Roll Over Beethoven" Heh. BOS2, I always liked this one.

Eh, it was '73. Was anyone truly out in popular music then? Maybe Little Richard?
-
still more Odd Couple --> Faces "Ooh la la" -- BOS3 from me. One of the great "shouldabeens" of the '70s.
-
ooo, "Diamond Girl". Sweet summer-of-'73 pop. VHM.

And another BOS for me as well. Hope they finally make that Faces reunion tour happen before another member kicks it. It's been talked about for years now.
-
Mercury Marquis '73 --> BBs, "Sail on Sailor". BOS4. Another "shouldabeen" and a high school memory.
-
Paul Pena's orig "Jet Airliner"! BOS5.

Blondie Chaplin FTW. And multiple members of Chicago backing this one, too. (They had quite the mutual admiration society going on back then.)
Btw, just found out yesterday the Beach Boys (the Mike Love version) will be at the Oregon State Fair on Labor Day. Might be worth checking that out.
-
Cleopatra Jones --> "Across 110th St"!! uber-uber-BOS6; too bad Mr Womack had to die to get this song on 10@10. It's a helluva tester!
-
When "Higher Ground"is the only song approaching FF status (well, OK, Elton too) you know it's been one for the ages.
-
and we close with the ZOOM! theme. Stellar stuff.

At work, had a meeting. Looks like I'll want to catch it on the replay. Oh snap, it's trivia night, I'll have to listen to the version online sometime this loooong weekend.
