"Live Aid... Farm Aid..." The promo ran this morning.
-
Joan Baez, "Good morning children of the '80s" --> TOTHLN: Bangles "Manic Monday"
-
"Go ahead, make my day" --> Fogerty, "RnR Girls"
-
BOS1 JCM, "Minutes to Memories".

BOS1 JCM, "Minutes to Memories".
Impressive, especially considering that album had five Top 40 hits.
-
Brooooooooce, "Trapped". I feel like we heard this recently.
ETA: but apparently I'm wrong, it's been 2 years. So VHM.
-
Golden Girls --> TFF "Mothers Talk"

And that album had 7 (!) Top 10 hits... so it's good that she is picking album tracks.

Had to figure we'd hear The Boss in an '85 set, that being his World Domination phase.
-
BOS2 DM "Shake the Disease", one of my faves of theirs and one that's not egregiously overexposed IMHO.

She's programming some relatively deep cuts this set -- only the first two (Bangles & Fogarty) would fall into the FF category, imo.
-
My "signature" song: "You Spin Me Round", Dead or Alive. VHM just because.

and at least Fogarty wasn't "Centerfield" ;)
-
Simple Minds "Sanctify Yo'self" strikes me as rather LN.

Or "The Old Man Down The Road". So far a relatively decent LNQ, I'd think.

Simple Minds "Sanctify Yo'self" strikes me as rather LN.
While I'd concur r/ "Don't You Forget About Me" or possibly "Alive And Kicking", "Sanctnify Yourself" I don't think appears on the radio too often nowadays. I do know that Dave liked "All The Things She Said".

BOS U2
-
Rock Hudson dies --> U2, "3 Sunrises." That's the letter U, the numeral 2, and the sunrises 3. Also a slightly less -obvious choice. VHM.
-
Back to the Future -- LN2 or 3 from the Straits.

One of my faves from them.

As much as I like dire straits, I tend to agree. I do, however, need to name drop a little bit. In the original video of the song, the bass player is playing the bass neck I sold him

Joan Baez, "Good morning children of the '80s" --> TOTHLN: Bangles "Manic Monday"
I usually don't stress about this, but Manic Monday is a 1986 song. Album release date, single release date, international release dates, airplay, chart dates, all '86. Sure, it was recorded in '85, but I've never thought of that as a criterion for inclusion in a year. Maybe she got an advance radio copy? Probably just a Richardsonesque mistake.

It's only appeared a handful of times on 10@10, but most of them have been in the past three
years. I also don't hear it much on the radio.

Golden Girls --> TFF "Mothers Talk"
BOS from me. Songs From the Big Chair is one of the top albums of the decade, IMO.

wow, I didn't even notice that -- good catch. I'm guessing it was a Facebook suggestion and that she just played it w/out thinking.

Ah, those Fogheads. Not troubled by little things like dates. Last week in the request thread for the 71 set, someone requested 10cc's I'm Not In Love. Seriously.
