well, I made 2 guesses  ('90s or early '80s) so I guess the odds were one would be right.

"Mr Microphone" commercial (an AL fave) --> Cars, "Cruiser" -- one of their few welcome rarities.

Nice one. You get way more cruising cred if you have Mr. Microphone in your posse.

I think even more of a Dire Straits ripoff than Santana's "Winning."

Geez, "Young Turks" AND "Bette Davis Eyes". Too much cheeze.

I cannot abide that "pro blush" rhyme. Sooooo bad.

And the river of cheeze keeps flowing with Hall and Goats.

Cheeze arena rock from Triumph, sounding awfully like Rush doing "Spirit of Radio", without the virtuosity.

was called into a meeting. Seems I haven't missed anything earth-shattering.

Nice tribute to Greg Kihn in the backsell. I'm sure the irony isn't lost on her since she pretty much took his job at KFOX. (or do I have the timeslots wrong?)

Renee played "Private Eyes" this morning at 6:15 -- it's all about the tix KFOG is giving away.

1. The Pretenders - Cuban Slide
2. The Cars - Cruiser
3. Rod Stewart - Young Turks
4. Kim Carnes - Bette Davis Eyes
5. Hall & Oates - Private Eyes
6. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers - Nightwatchman
7. Joe Walsh - A Life of Illusion
8. Triumph - Magic Power
9. The Clash - Hitsville U.K.
10. Greg Kihn Band - The Breakup Song

OK, so I missed: the uber-uber-LN "Bette Davis Eyes"; the H&O song I heard at 6:15am; TP's "Nightwatchman" -- a not-bad rarity; another LN from Joe Walsh; the horrid "Magic Power" (sorry, Triumph makes Rush sound like King Crimson); "Hitsville UK" which I love -- but I requested "Washington Bullets" and instead she went with a Clash song she's played before rather than a bustout (yeah, I know, still way preferable to "Mag 7"); and Greg Kihn.  Overall, I'd rate this one "mostly meh".

"Sorry, Triumph makes Rush sound like King Crimson"

so you think King Crimson sounds like Mozart?   ;)    .. inside FB joke
