Thread is up, not that we'll likely hear anything truly interesting in this year. (But I'm always happy to be wrong)
ETA: I have a hunch that "It Takes Two" (Rob Base/DJ E-Z-Rock) will be our token pop/R&B number.

That would be awesome. I pulled out the sad violins (about E-Z Rock's recent passing at 46) in making my request.

TOTHK - The Escape Club "Wild Wild West"
Starting things off in an LN way...
-
beep-boop-boop: TOTHK Escape Club, "Wild Wild uber-LN". Nowhere to go but up from here.
-
Ted Kennedy ---> They Might Be Giants "Ana Ng"
-
Teddy: "where was George?" --> TMBG "Anna LNg" (you *knew* I'd do that.)
-
Bob Dylan "Silvio"
-
Ha! -- didya hear that glitch right after the words "broken record"?
BOS1 Dylan, "Sylvio"
-
Who Framed Roger Rabbit? ---> Traveling Wilburys "Last Night"
ETA: I would have chosen the Roy Orbison-led "Not Alone Any More"...
-
Roger Rabbit, Jessica and the late Bob Hoskins --> uber-LN3 Wilburys, "LNast LNight" See, it's right there in the initials!
-
Camper Van Beethoven "One Of These Days"
-
Camper Van Beethoven "One Of These Days"
BOS.
-
Camper Van Beethoven "One Of These Days"
if not a bustout, certainly a rarity. BOSFRA.
-
The Waterboys "Fisherman's Blues"
-
I love "Fisherman's Blues" but it's a waaaay-overplayed 10@10 staple, and was requested by a 'snipe who should know better. (as was "Anna Ng")
-
Big Top Pee-wee ---> Pixies "Gigantic"
-
Big Top Pee-Wee --> Pixies, "Gigantic", staright from that TV commercial. BOS2.
-
U2 "All I Want Is You"
-
"All I Want Is U2" -- VHM for not being "Desire" or "Angel of Harlem"
-
Dangerous Liaisons: "I'm so bored, you see". I know the feeling. But BOS3 "Suedehead".
-
Dangerous Liaisons ---> Morrissey "Suededhead"
-
Dangerous Liasons ---> Morrissey "Suededhead"
Love the Liaisons. "Beyond my control" is a great line to quote.
-
Think AL will close with Lita Ford's "Kiss Me Deadly"?
ETA: Guess not
-
More Dangerous Liaisons ---> INXS "Kick"
-
Think AL will close with Lita Ford's "Kiss Me Deadly"?
ETA: Guess not
woulda been nice. I'll keep requesting it; you'd think it'd be right up AL's alley. Be a killer TOTHK.
I'm sure alot of Fogheads thought this set was the bee's knees but it seemed pretty rote to me. One bustout: CVB.

beep-boop-boop: TOTHK Escape Club, "Wild Wild uber-LN". Nowhere to go but up from here.
Yes, it is a Katrina. OTOH, I have no idea why the hate. It was different, clever, popular, and not AAA dreck.

just one of those songs I wasn't all that crazy about to begin with. (Despite one of my fave mondegreens, "Cher is on the airwaves") I'm always glad when AL plays a pop (non-AOR/AAA) hit but there are many songs she coulda played instead that wouldv'e been bustouts. I know, I know, these are the times we live in, accept the bitter with the sweet, etc.

I was this close to requesting their second hit, "Shake For The Sheik".

DJ E-Z Rock is definitely not a name. He was part of one of the best pop hip-hop singles ever, though.
