Continuing our run of relatively old sets... request thread is up.
-
Wow, this is a nice surprise -- I fully expected a "Bottle Rock Preview" slab of self-promotion.
-
ah, the uber-cliche TOTHK for '74: live Lou.
-
BOS1 Joni, "Raised on Robbery".
-
BOS2 Big Star, "September Gurls", gurl.
-

Love the live Lou. Missed almost all of it though, sadly.
-
Nixon impeachment vote --> "You Haven't Done Nothin". Heh. VHM Stevie.
-
BOS1 Joni, "Raised on Robbery".
BOS, haven't heard this in a while.
Brings back fond memories of "Court and Spark" album, which way back when I just played and played and played...
-
ah, the uber-cliche TOTHK for '74: live Lou.
A classic, but a frequently flying one. HM, but no more than that.
However, Raised on Robbery is moving in the right direction. VHM.
ETA: Jeez, just read back thru this thread. I'm still hearing Joni and find that the broadcast listeners are fully two songs ahead.
-
LN2 (LN1 was Lou): John makes it thru the nite.

Yup, I'm two songs behind on my phone. Big Star just starting. Kind of stinky being that far behind for purposes of participation here...
-

I could get out of my car, unlock the office, go to my desk, plug in my laptop, wait for everything to come up, get to the KFOG site & click Listen Now, and still be about 2 minutes behind where it was when I turned off my car radio.
-
Dustin Hoffman as Lenny Bruce on homosexuality --> "Rebel Rebel". BOS3 segue; LN3 song.

Seems as if the lag between the live signal and the stream has increased in recent weeks. Perhaps an early casualty of the loss of net neutrality?
Can't say I've heard anything I'd call a rarity so far -- the Joni and Big Star tunes are probably the closest, but even those have turned up more than a few times.

Ditto. The audio stream is especially slow today...

more Lenny --> 3DN "Show Must Go on". BOS4 just because.
ETA: Actually, a VERY good segue. "There's an enormous crowd of people and they're all after my blood"
-
LN4 "Band on the Run"

And this just started -- the closest thing to a rarity we've gotten.

LN Comment on AL's page: "This is a set ON FIRE!"
-
Mike is going to have to preface every post with "SPOILER ALERT"
::)
-
LN4 "Band on the Run"
I think this is song #8 (hoping my questionable counting skills are functioning today), so we have two songs remaining to raise the level of the set.
-
LN4 "Band on the Run"
Yeah, but on the other hand... BOS!! (IMHO)
-
still more Lenny --> "Tell Me Something Good".
I really need to revisit that movie; I've never seen it all the way thru.
-
LN Comment on AL's page: "This is a set ON FIRE!"
Lemme guess: initials JF?
-
I'll have to listen on SoundCloud later...

Ding Ding Ding! At least it isn't "Lurve my 70's", which we'll probably see on the GS page tomorrow morning.
-
LN4 "Band on the Run"
Yeah, but on the other hand... BOS!! (IMHO)
it's great, all these songs are great. But a couple of bustouts -- esp on a day when the suits are on their way to Bottle Rock and probably already half-stoned -- woulda been nice.
VHM "Jungle Boogie". And the Lenny clips really saved this; I don't recall her using them before.
-
Rock me, Chaka Khan!

Definitely. :)
-
BOS Jungle Boogie... never tire of it.

Hi Mark! I don't have much time to post these days (work work work), but it's good to see you and Scarlett back!

someone else told her she was "phantasmagorical" (!)

Was that taken from KFOG or the GS page? And at least they spelled "gurls" correctly.
(If it was KFOG, they've since corrected the various errors of spelling, capitalization, etc.)

In her first tenure, AL used to get the setlist compiled for her by onetime 'snipe Giter. Not sure if he still does that, but she may have cut'n'pasted his list if she was in a hurry.

Still missing the year on the title line... w.r.t. errors on the KFOG page listing, I've seen worse
during the RR era -- but not very often.
