I'm guessing it's '96 because AL did '95 last month...

Maybe she's referring to the civil suit brought by the Brown and Goldman families? That ended in Feb of 97, so it may have started in '96.

Cake "The Distance"
Still enjoyable after all these listens
but totally unnecessary in this context, given that KFOG plays it 17 times a week.
no surprise that I'm glad I passed on this set.

I recommend not listening to KFOG the rest of the time, and then this won't happen :-). I haven't heard this one in years.

I think it was Them's "I Can Only Give You Everything".
Beck had a number of drum samples on Devil's Haircut, including from Them, but played this riff live rather than sample it, at least according to Wikipedia.

Wow, she counted this as one of the ten. It seems she's had longer clips from songs as outro music in other sets.

One of the effects of largely having avoided commerical radio in the last twenty years or so
is that for '90s 10@10 sets my BOS is usually more widely seen as LN by others. So I think it
really points to worthiness of the designation when I say that even for me, this song has
crossed over into LN territory. :)
