The thread is up.

I requested Michael McDonald's I Keep Forgettin' (Every Time You're Near), which a search of this board reveals to be rarely played on KFOG's 10@10 but an Austin "Bob" über-LN.
-
TOTHK - Go-Go's "We Got The Beat"
-
Obvious-but-bouncy TOTHK: Go-Gos, "We Got The Beat" yeah, it's kinda LN1 for me.
-
Casey Kasem ---> clip ---> Tom Tom Club "Genius Of Love"
-
LN2: TomTomClub, "Genius of Love" -- I was gonna request "Wordy Rappinghood" but figured she'd only end up playing this.... and here it is anyway.
-
Prince William born ---> Rush "New World Man"
-
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!! WOS Rush "New World LN"
-
Reagan wants to tango with the Soviets ---> Alan Parsons Project "Sirius / Eye In The Sky"
-
Oy: LN4 APP, "Eye in the Sky". This better get better.

Is AL playing FB requests? Or is she choosing these?

I've been enjoying the set so far.

Newly discovered AIDS ---> Elvis Costello "Man Out Of Time"
RGMike request fulfilled!

well, Elvis is my request, but the other stuff so far was posted (YT clips) by her on FB last nite.
-
Thatcher / Falklands ---> Gap Band "You Dropped A Bomb On Me"
-
Maggie wants the Falklands --> "You Dropped a Bomb on Me" -- BOS2; the segues are saving this set.
-
AIDS Discovered --> Elvis C with my request! BOS the brilliant"Man Out Of Time"
I missed your requests, but I asked for The Loved Ones from the same album (along with deep cuts from Peter Gabriel and XTC). Happy to hear anything off this album; it's one of his best IMO.
-
Swanson Hungry Man dinners commercial ---> Duran Duran "Hungry Like The Wolf"
The clever segues continue...
-
Hungry man Dinners --> "Hungry Like the Wolf".
Segue: B+
necessary grade: F

def one of his Masterworks; I always thought "MOOT" coulda been a left-field hit single with the right promotion. (Elvis' "Year of the Cat", if you will)

Agreed. What track from Rio would you have chosen instead?
-
OMFG: Laura Branigan "Gloria"
ETA: Will she twin-spin it with Melissa Manchester's "You Should Hear How She Talks About You"? :)
-
OMFG: BOS3 the fabulous Laura Branigan with her fabulous Donna Summer imitation.
AL's played it a couple times but always welcome.

I'd've settled for "Save a Prayer" but really, "Wolf" didn't chart as a single until late December.
-
An Officer & a Gentleman --> "Love My Way", another rather well-worn '82 track.
-
An Officer And A Gentleman ---> Psychedelic Furs "Love My Way"
-
Trio "Da Da Da"
ETA: I would have done a triple play of Laura Branigan/Melissa Manchester/Dionne Warwick "Heartbreaker" to end the set.
-
Da da da -- I'm Da-da-done. A butsout, a couple rarities, and 7 LNs, more or less.
-
OMFG: Laura Branigan "Gloria"

Ha -- I was just thinking of that song yesterday, and it's def on my '82 wish-list.
-
Fast Times At Ridgemont High opened and closed the set.
ETA: I may have to visit '82 for a SoundCloud set...
-
I'm with the FB populists on this one. Loved it all the way through.
-
I heard the set through Rush and a little of the APP.
I bet Rush wins BOS! :)
-
Per AL on FB, Laura Branigan got BOS.

A cheesy song from a cheesy movie...
I thought today's set had a very high LNQ, and I didn't need to hear most of it again. A bit of
a disappointment, considering that 1982 is one of the strongest years of the decade.
