not surprising. Another "4 decades and a theme set" week. Here's hoping this isn't another AL's Greatest Hits set.
annnnd... we've already gotten a request for "Skateaway". (and later, "(Just like) Starting Over", godhelpus)

TOTHK - The Kings "This Beat Goes On / Switchin' To Glide"

Here's hoping this isn't another AL's Greatest Hits set.
Fine songs so far, but the above description fits nonetheless.
-
Reagan ---> The Police "Driven To Tears"

-
Reagan ---> The Police "Driven To Tears"
or "The Policemen" as KFOG's TuneGenie recently identified them.
-
another old fave: English Beat, ska-ifying "Tears Of a Clown"
-
Ted Kennedy ---> The English Beat "Tears Of A Clown"
-
A wheelhouse set for me. I was listening to pretty much everything here.
but, dear lord, can't that Bosom* Buddies clip be retired by now?
* my mother used to pronounce it "buh-ZOOM"
-
John Lennon murdered ---> John Lennon "Beautiful Boy (Darling Boy)"
-
John assassinated --> "Beautiful Boy" Nice surprise and thank GAWD she avoided "Starting Over". a BOS contender, certainly.

If she had played "Starting Over", it would have been a morbid segue from the assassination news report...
-
nice seg from "Beautiful Boy" to "Kid". BOS2.

If she had played "Starting Over", it would have been a morbid segue from the assassination news report...
but a segue she, RR and Dave have all done in the past.

Pretenders "Kid"

-
the inevitable Caddyshack clip --> "I'm Alright", which gets my WOS.
-
Caddyshack ---> Kenny Loggins "I'm Alright"
I'd rather hear a clip from Roadie followed by Eddie Rabbitt's "Drivin' My Life Away"...
-
ABC Tuesday night lineup Happy Days and Laverne & Shirley ---> Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band "Betty Lou's Gettin' Out Tonight"
-
"Betty Lou"s gettin' out from under Bob Seger. or something.
-
well, a perfectly pleasant set, but again, it seems like AL is revisiting her old setlists rather than taking many requests to heart.
-
Relatively quick set -- or did it just start on time for a change? No big nuggets but the only song I would have replaced was the Loggins song, so overall a pretty solid set.
My BOS picks are the Robert Palmer and Pretenders tunes.

She could have played the "Skateaway" and "Starting Over" requests, tho. ;D
