this Widespread Panic sounds awfully Knopfler-ish.

How much longer can Ginger stay in Athens GA?

I liked the first song.  wasn't sure she started the show since there was no big intro other than mentioning 1992.
This might be good.

The player is awful. I have never had a more intermittent stream. Buffering now mid song.  :(

BOS #1 - Cracker "Teen Angst", one of my fave songs of the year.

I don't know what the world mayneed,
But I'm sure as hell that is starts with me.
And that's a wisdom,
I've laughed at.

I don't know what the world may want,
But a good stiff drink it surely don't.
So I think I'll go and fix myself a tall one.

Cause, what the world needs now
Is a new kind of tension.
Cause the old one just bores me to death.
Cause, what the world needs now
Is another folk singer
Like I need a hole in my head.

I don't know what the world may need,
But a V8 engine is a good start for me.
Think I'll drive to find a place,
To be surly.
I don't know what the world may want,
But some words of wisdom could comfort us.
Think I'll leave that up to someone wiser.

Cause, what the world needs now
Are some true words of wisdom
Like la la la la la
Cause, what the world needs now
Is another folk singer
Like I need a hole in my head.

I don't know what the world may need,
And I never grasped your complexities.
I'd be happy just to get your attention.
And, I don't know what the world may want,
But your long, sweet body lying next
To mine could certainly raise my spirits.

Cause what the world needs now
Is a new Frank Sinatra
So I can get you in bed.
Cause what the world needs now
Is another folk singer
Like I need a hole in my head.

gonna give Bruce another BOS for "Human Touch".  This song has held up surprisingly well for me, especially these guitars at the end.

So here's one thing I already figured out before any of you guys tuned in to KBCO:  They really like Natalie Merchant.

She's a Triple-A format staple, it seems. "KFOG, the Peak, they all adore her. They think she's a righteous dudette..."

It's just so... easy to do.  It's a lovely song, it's tasteful, it gets played at lots of funerals.  Me, I want the Ramones at my funeral.

VHM Toad the Wet Python Reference.

(yes, I know it's actually from an obscure Eric Idle side project.)

Gotta give another VHM to Toad the Wet Sprocket.  Very reminiscent of '92 for me.

BOS The Player clip. People who think Entourage is a brilliant satire of H'wood (hello, Tim Goodman!) need to rent The Player again.

I just checked that out.  Kevin Costner & Shirley MacLaine???

Do you know why it was extra funny to see Buck Henry pitching The Graduate II?

Meant to comment on that yesterday--it was taking forever to load. Got in late today, so missed the set entirely and wasn't subject to the vagaries of their crappy utility.

I'm torn between two Kinks songs--Days or Waterloo Sunset.

Indeed, I've said before that "Days" would be my choice, followed immediately by Joey Ramone's version of "What a Wonderful World". And then maybe "Blitzkrieg Bop".

What I meant was the actual url that leads to the stream location.  For example, the DDT url is

http://www.wdrv.com/live2/wdrv.asx

This is how I do the 'back door' entry when WDRV closes its main interface on Thursdays, but doesn't totally close down access.
