It's a gas gas gas!
A nice surprise -- if it wasn't all-Dylan, I expected a '90s set.

take a load off, fanny.

Ginger sez that "Julia" was a 100% John track. I had long ago heard that the only Beatles track which was 100% the work of only one member was "Within You Without You" by George.
Revisionsim! We need a fact checker! Not that I doubt Ginger, but I wonder what else I was told that's not true.

Bobcat was Burglar.
an even worse movie than JJF (tho' when discussing Whoopi's '80s output, it's all relative).

her only bright moments ever seem to have been "the color purple," "ghost," and "corinna, corinna."

FWIW, I *loved* JJF, and it's probably still in my all-time Top 10. I actually credit that movie for helping cultivate my interest in computers.

Oh the first Sister Act is pretty funny. But after Purple, H'wood (and her agent) decided to put her in one mediocre comedy after another.
-
not sure if that was Firesign Theater, but great stuff.

Ghost, Corrina, Corrina & Sister Act (as well as the hilarious Soapdish) were all from the 90's. Here's her 80's ouvre:
Homer and Eddie (1989) .... Eddie Cervi
Beverly Hills Brats (1989) .... Cameo appearance
Comicitis (1989)
Clara's Heart (1988) .... Clara Mayfield
The Telephone (1988) .... Vashti Blue
Fatal Beauty (1987) .... Rita Rizzoli
Burglar (1987) .... Bernice 'Bernie' Rhodenbarr
Jumpin' Jack Flash (1986) .... Terry Dolittle
The Color Purple (1985) .... Celie
Citizen (1982)
Beyond Color Purple, I think only Clara's Heart was half-decent, featuring the not-yet-Doogie Neil Patrick Harris in his debut.

The intro to this Taj Mahal version of "6 days..." sounded like the Cars, "Shake it Up".

I actually caught part of YM&O on cable last year (they were showing it because the remake had just come out). Great cast of before-they-were-stars including Tom Bosley, and the answer is Tim "Animal House" Matheson.

Meant to give Mike the props, my post with the answer slipped in before his by mere seconds, although it might not look like that to anyone who saw this later.

VBOS (Very Best of Set) Van - "Cypress Avenue"
Astral Weeks RULES!
I once got into an argument w/Dave about what Van's 2nd album was, and when I said it was Astral Weeks, he said something to the effect that it didn't count! Perhaps he was just being flip, but it seemed odd to me at the time.
And yes, Astral Weeks does rule indeed!
