Title: The Sound, week of 5/14/12
Post by: RGMike on May 14, 2012, 10:04:17 AM
Mon 5/14/12: 1966!

really funny how the Sound uses the EXACT same clips as the Drive.  This one will go to 11, methinks.

Good Lovin', Good Day Sunshine and Mellow Yellow to start.

certainly some good sounds.  Only one student showed up for advisory; it's senior cut day!

'66 is in my high school wheelhouse, but I was a sophomore/junior then.

just noticed that Larry, the AM 10at10 jock, did a live commercial sponsorship insert for some Nissan dealership just before the Bobby Fuller Four's I Fought The Law.

don't think I've heard that before. but I haven't listened to the Sound's 10@10 in a while.

BOS2 BBs, but wouldn't it be nice if the Sound's version weren't quite so consultant-approved?

yeah. interesting. Ginger used to do a commercial break at the midpoint of her KBCO 10@10s too. DC would love that.

I loved Herman's Hermits.  I used to have their Greatest Hits album from back then.

Happy Jack!

pretty cool.   this would get Best Of Week even if AL was doing 10at10.  The A to Z will probably not play anything that interesting.
