I'm guessing the next 3 days will be some combo of '80s/'90s/'00s and then Friday will be a "Time" set for return of Daylight Savings.
ETA: Today is Int'l Women's Day -- don't think we've ever gotten a 10@10 for that, have we?
-
Nancy Kerrigan/Tonya Harding/Lorena Bobbit parody of Crash Test Dummies -- Weird Al? A bustout, I'll wager.
ETA: yup. It's called "Headline News" -- oft-requested, it appears.
-
Alas, not. Instead we get 94, with what I am guessing is Weird Al's reworking of the CTD's Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmmm leading the parade.
-
DMB under the table and dreaming -- and that's my cue to exit.
"Lights down you up and I"? Wha?
-
That was "Headline News" by Weird Al, according to Wiki...

Who needs news clips when you've got Weird Al?
-
BOS, ABB. "No One To Run With"
Edit: Fixed title.
-
BOS, ABB. "Nobody Left to Run With"
Can't knock that beat!
-
VHM Liz Phair, Supernova.
Liking the clips ripped from the headlines instead of just car ads and sitcom clips.

I'll give Liz a BOS.
-
VHM for Blur. Has a definite Elastica feel to it, which may not be a coincidence since Damon Albarn was dating Justine Frischmann at the time.
-
No need for Zombies. I don't like that line "and their bombs, and their bombs". Couldn't think of another word?
-
Uber-BOS Nick Cave "Red Right Hand." I don't think it's a bustout, but a great choice in any case.
-
Good creepiness from Nick Cave: "Red Right Hand".
-
Must be in a '90s mood, because I'm really enjoying this set.
VHM Nick Cave
Followed by Green Day, "Longview" (I think). Also VHM.
-
Haha, I get it... Red Right Hand into Longview. Good one AL.
-
Another VHM, Clapton, "I'm Tore Down".
-
Forrest Gump goes for a run > Ini Kamoze, Here Comes the Hotstepper
-
BOS Liz Phair - that's a song (and album) that made me feel good about 1994 music. Both in 1994 and 2016.
-
3/08/16 - Tuesday! It's 1994
1. Weird Al Yankovic - Headline News
(News: two men arrested in connection with the attack on Nancy Kerrigan)
2. Dave Matthews Band - Ants Marching
3. Allman Brothers Band - No One to Run With
(News: OJ Simpson charged with murder; Susan Smith charged with murder; Lorena Bobbitt found not guilty)
4. Liz Phair - Supernova
5. Blur - Girls & Boys
6. The Cranberries - Zombie
(News: coverage of O.J. Simpson's pursuit)
7. Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds - Red Right Hand
(TV: Friends)
8. Green Day - Longview
(Movie: Dumb and Dumber)
9. Eric Clapton - I'm Tore Down
(Movie: Forrest Gump)
10.Ini Kamoze - Here Comes the Hotstepper

I'm thinking Weird Al was the only bustout. WOS Cranberries, one of the most annoying songs of the '90s (which is saying something)

I'm thinking Weird Al was the only bustout.
One previous appearance on July 2, 2015. Part of my process for generating the set list is checking for
spelling errors, abbreviations, and other inaccuracies. Bust-out status falls out naturally from that.
The lack of bust-outs and general repetitiveness of material is evidenced by the fact that most of the time
I can simply cut & paste all the items, including clips, from other shows.
